She was able to meet our needs for budget as well as our needs for additional area and set up for our mother in law and our growing family. She Was really able to listen to us, and come up with options that would work for us. when we would look at homes i knew they would meet much of our criteria. She stayed right by our side the whole time to walk us through home buying. she was conscious and respectful of our time and would even look at homes for us before she showed them to make sure they would be a good fit. Nicole treated us like family and had our best interests in mind. If you want someone who communicates well, Supports you through the process and really makes home buying a positive experience, then Nicole Jewell with The Group is the way to go.

I met up with the rep to take a look at the apartment and oddly enough, all the tenant's belongings…read morewere there as if they haven't even started to pack. Being there felt wrong considering I didn't go through any background check and yet there I was being walked through their home and personal belongings. I applied, although I could not get a good feel for the place since their furniture was in it, the walls were pretty dingy, the carpet was stained, and the windows were decorated with the tenants blinds and curtains. The kitchen floor was in really bad shape with a giant gash deep in the linoleum. After I signed the lease and picked up the keys, I moved in only to find that the condition of the walls, carpets, and windows were exactly the same as when the last tenant was here. In fact, the dingy blinds and curtains were still on the windows and the carpet had a big red stain with bleach spots throughout the rest of the apartment. The walls were filthy with nails and holes in them. Half of one livingroom wall looked as if they started painting it, then decided to quit. When I called the office about the condition of the place, they told me "that's just the way the apartment comes" and that I had five days to turn in my check-in list and report any issues. I did, but I never heard back from them. When I followed up I was told someone would reach out to me but they never did. They also charged me a prorated utility fee for the time before my move-in date, which I trustingly paid. I learned my lesson hard but quick soon after. Four months into my lease I get a notification that Henderson sold the property to Evergreen Management. Henderson sends me a notification that I owe them $50 for them transferring my deposit to Evergreen Management, and that if I didn't pay l would face some sort of penalty. Since I'm in no way liable for whatever action they took with my deposit, I called their bluff. It's been seven months and they never bothered me about that again. Now I have to worry if this new Evergreen Management will give me my full deposit, or try and charge me for the condition Henderson left it in. The second star in my rating comes from the fact that they smiled at me a lot.

My experience working only 4 weeks at Henderson Property Management was extremely disappointing…read morefrom beginning to end. The new-hire onboarding and training process felt unprofessional, disorganized and rushed. There were times when I had questions and did not feel comfortable asking for clarification because of the reactions and snide comments I received. In particular, I experienced eye-rolling and what felt like dismissive behavior from the Director of Finance when I asked 1 question my 3rd week of employment. As a new employee, that made it difficult to feel supported or comfortable learning the role. What was most frustrating, however, was the lack of honesty and consistency from management. At my 30-day review, my manager told me, "Wow, you're doing great. We love having you here." I left that conversation believing I was meeting expectations and that things were going well. Then, just a few days later, I was ushered into the conference room as I was arriving for work and told by the Director of Finance, "We don't think you are a good fit for the role. We are letting you go today.". I was completely blindsided. If management had concerns about my performance or believed I wasn't a good fit, I would have appreciated knowing that during my 30-day review. I would have respected straightforward, honest feedback and the opportunity to understand what I needed to improve. Instead, I received positive feedback and was then terminated only days later. That experience was especially disappointing given how heavily the company emphasizes its "Character Traits." In my opinion, honesty, transparency, and professional communication should apply to management just as much as they are expected from employees. Overall, I felt that the communication, training, and management were inconsistent and that I was not given the level of transparency or support I expected from an employer. Being let go is one thing. Being told you're doing great and that they love having you there, only to be terminated days later without any indication that there was a problem, is another. Based on my experience, I would never choose to work for Henderson Property Management everagain.
