I found Keu (pronounced "Q") on a neighborhood list that I'm on and he came so highly recommended by one neighbor that same neighbor built a website for him. On that recommendation, Keu was one of three painters I called out to the house for an estimate. Anyone who has been around knows that just the experience of getting an estimate from a contractor speaks volumes about the work they will do for you in the future.
Painter 1 came out, was very nice but was unkempt and a little tipsy. He seemed to not have a lot of work so he quoted me an outrageous price, presumably to get enough money to hold him over until his next job.
Painter 2 came out, and over-talked, asked me a lot of too-personal questions about my romantic status while I kept trying to steer the conversation back to the paint job. Needless to say, he never even bothered to follow up with an estimate, probably because of my coolness toward his advances.
Keu was Painter 3, and as Goldilocks would say, he was "just right." Better than just right in fact. Keu came out and treated my small paint job as though he were being commissioned to paint the exterior of the Taj Mahal. He was professional and friendly, took a careful look at the rooms and sent an itemized estimate on professional letterhead within a few hours.
I have hired Keu several times over the years and referred him to countless friends and acquaintances. He is a wonderful painter, fair-priced, consistent but most importantly, he is kind and this is reflected in the way that he conducts business and how he treats his clients. read more
