The Family Law department of Kerwoods handled my divorce in 2012 and quoted me £800 + VAT in their Client Care letter. I eventually paid £3,500 + VAT and had no response to my query as to the massive discrepancy in the two estimates. The solicitor who represented me was a partner in the firm either knew so little about divorce proceedings that he wasn't even aware that he should advise me on issues such as inheritance and pension entitlement, or just couldn't be bothered to do his job properly. I subsequently brought a successful action for professional negligence against Kerwoods and they paid me £12,500 in damages but seriously, if you want to avoid the aggro I had to go through with them, instruct a different firm. read more

Theses solicitors have been dealing with my buying a house, specifically i powleson, he and his secretary have been very helpful and kept in touch. They are always will to answer any questions (lots being a first time buyer) and always get back to me when they are not available, well priced.
