Unfortunately, my experience wasn't what I expected. When she arrived, she didn't have a professional setup at all. no lighting, no chair, no proper kit setup just a makeup bag and a small mirror placed on my friend's dining table. She did mention she had just moved to Florida so maybe that explains why she didn't have a real setup, I'm not sure. I showed her my inspo photos and clearly explained that I wanted a clean girl makeup, very light makeup look with soft pink blush and almost no eyeshadow. She said it was fine, but the makeup she did was completely different. She finished in about 20 to 25 minutes, and she ended up giving me dark eyeshadow even though I specifically said I didn't want that. The foundation made me look orange and wasn't matched to my skin tone. Overall, the makeup looked outdated, almost like a 2016 style, not the fresh and natural look I asked for. I was really disappointed, especially since this was for my friend's wedding. I also want to add that I didn't really speak up because it was my first time getting my makeup done professionally, and I get shy about saying something. I was already nervous and had to rush to a whole wedding right after, so I didn't want her to have to start over or make things awkward. I just left feeling frustrated. I still tipped her because she was very sweet, but the service didn't meet my expectations at all.

Meli is always professional and quick to answer any questions. One thing that I think she does differently is she looks at your skin type and it's current condition to decide what moisturizer and products to use. I went to her once hungover as hell, and she explained why she used a certain dewy moisturizer and foundation on my face. This is helpful because there are SO many options out there, it's great to know what an expert thinks is right for you. Meli takes her time and listens. You can tell she has a passion for makeup, and it shows through her work!

She can do special events and soft makeup, fashion makeup to full on character and special effects. She is extremely talented and I am so honored she came out and did my makeup for my shoot as well as the LadyBallers makeup for our shoot. She was extremely understanding of any requests we had. She was gentle and very informative. She explained every product she was using and how sanitation is extremely important to her and how she takes care of her products. She has a wide range of colors for every form of makeup it seemed. Anything I requested she had and was willing to do more or less of anything that made me feel comfortable in my own skin and I appreciated that. She listens to what you want, clarifies with you to make sure she understands, and when she says she is taking off an inch, it's an inch. Not an inch and a half to two inches. She also takes me on time and has never canceled on me. Her bubbly personality makes me look forward to seeing her every time I return. The prices are really reasonable too. That was important. So now for the hold off on the star. The owner sees dollar signs in everyone that walks in - if you know this ahead of time you can prepare yourself. Read on: The first 2 times I was duped in to additional services that I did not request nor did I know about until I paid at the end and wondered why my bill was so high. In asking what I was paying for I found that the first time it was for a pre-treatment & after treatment since they dyed my whole head to get it all one base color. Then the second time was an additional conditioner added after she washed and conditioned my hair. So now that I was educated, I asked them not to add anything on unless it was shown to me and approved by me. Haven't had an issue since. Still go there and will continue to. It's nice to be pampered and enjoy a glass of wine while your hair is getting done!

Ash has an hilarious personality that will make you look forward to your early morning appointments and she makes sure that you're taken care of with snacks and drinks (I think this is only for those that go to her salon though). As for the makeup and hair...LASTED ALL DAY LONG!! I barely needed a touch up! Ash knew what products would work for my face and I'm still blown away by her results. I wasn't even a contestant in the pageant, but she made me feel just as beautiful as them. She's also willing to tell you what products she's using and I've definitely upped my makeup game after coming home. It's also good to note that I gave her creative freedom along with minor details about the events and everything turned out way better than I imagined. I'm not even engaged yet and seriously considering flying her out to wherever my ceremony will be!! Notes: Definitely read her FAQ on how to prep before your appointments. I already go in regularly for facials so I'm assuming that's what helped as well. I also had no idea my regular shampoo and conditioner were heavy products so I was able to switch over to something lighter before going to see her.
