Say what you will about public schools, but the KSD gave me a fine education.

I needed to ask school district a question. No one picks up the phone. Left couple voice mails…read moreover a period of few days and no one returns calls. One day, which was their working day, all day long, the phone call went straight to the message saying "their office is closed" which it isn't.

Where do I start. Jesse Molina Spicer is a PHD psychologist that works for Kent School district…read more Jesse has taken over my mother's estate in payette county. Attacking me with her attorney. They did a deposition on me that lasted half the day where the insulted me and accuse me of all kinds of different things. I'm not an angel I did some of it but not all of it. I was removed from the estate as the pr. After 1 year. The reason I was removed was because I didn't turn in an inventory in 90 days. The reason I couldn't turn in the inventory was because Debbie gravning my other sister. Took off with all the paperwork my mom's purse banking information. I told the judge this. She's still awarded the estate to Jesse Spicer. And charged me for her legal fees. Jesse has not turned in an inventory in 18 years that I'm aware of. The estate is still open. The estate of Dolores England and payette county Idaho. Now let's go to the child molestation part. Back in the 1970s when I was in the 7th grade. A man gave me a lathe that was in a rental house that he owned. Jesse came over and stole it and took it to a pawn shop. My stepdad Earl told her you either bring it back. Or move out of our house. That summer before Jesse went to Oklahoma to head for college she took me to a job interview. That she insisted I go to. I didn't want to but she made me . Jesse is 10 years older than me. The man tried to molest me offered me money manhandled me wanting sex. I never said a word when I got to the car where Jesse was waiting. She wanted details but I wouldn't talk. When I got home I talked to Earl England my stepfather. He told me never say anything to anybody about this if your sister ever brings it up again. She had something to do with it. Lord and behold in an argument over text. Jesse admitted to taking me to a child molester. There is a Portland Police report that I made after I got the text. Jesse works with prisoners with Portland Police. Nothing's been done about it. I brought it to the attention. To Kent School district. My understanding she was disciplined told she needed to settle the estate before she could come back to work. The estate is still open in payette county Idaho. And Jesse still works for Kent School district. It's very disturbing that someone can make a comment like this. And admitting to taking a child to a child molester. And still get to work with children. So I called them today. And ask to talk to someone about this. I was told that they would take it to legal. And would not answer the question whether they would get back to me or not. This lady needs to be in a state penitentiary. They'll put a Catholic priest in jail. Go after scouting. But if you're a PHD psychologist working in the Tacoma School district. They will protect you.

I was just telling some friends how great our school is. Then I saw a bummer of a review on here,…read morebased on a short transition period, so I'm writing this. The short story is - it's a very good school run by professionals. A wonderful environment for kids who are neurodivergent or similar and have struggled in a larger school setting. It is supportive and non-judgmental, and we've found it to be a great balance of a place to learn and grow and a place to be supported and accepted. We were worried that it wouldn't be academically rigorous but found that it exceeded our expectations when our child was ready to learn. They meet all children where they are at every step of the way. Also, they do so many fun educational field trips. Here's the long version if you're interested: Our family started at Academy in 2024. That year, the old school director retired. Yes, there were staff changes. Yes, there was an interim director. Yes, it was a time of change and changes is hard especially when you are emotionally invested. Some families were so attached to the old director they didn't come back. Two years later and we're still very happily there. We found gold. Is it fancy? No. Is it exactly like a larger school? No. In areas where a child needs more support, they have it. The policy of "walk to math/language arts/science" allows them to learn subjects at a level and in a group setting difficult to access in larger private or public schools in a supportive way, whether accelerated or at a slower pace. Curriculum is solid and classroom size is excellent. As to the information concern - no. Many kids are district placements. The oversight and regulation involved in that is significant. No public school would partner with them if they broke any laws about information handling and they have placements from many districts. In May of 2024 they had just interviewed candidates for a new permanent director. I hope people will consider that Spring 2024 was just one rare season in the school's administration and while the other review was from someone that felt upset by how that transition was going, the new school director who was hired at the end of that year is awesome. I think she will be there for years to come. I never post reviews, but I hate that that review might be pushing families away from a truly excellent option for kids. To whoever you were it sounds like you felt like your school family was being ripped apart and you were afraid the whole place would be ruined, which must have been awful. Maybe you lost your job, maybe you pulled your child from the school. Regardless, please know that it is still "the little school with a big heart" and from my perspective as a very aware parent, it's in responsible hands.
