Love the laidback vibes of Haleiwa...glad to have found a spot for a good haircut outside of Honolulu. It's located right by the Giovanni Shrimp Truck so you can definitely kill two birds with one stone here. Ken is super nice and accommodating. He is very busy and popular so you may have to wait a bit but it's worth it. Parking can be a little hard (he has a spot at the front but it is usually taken). Great high fade and line up. Very reasonably priced as well. he doesn't do appointments so everything is walk-in only. Support local :) read more

Awesome job on my cut right before my wedding. I'm visiting from Maryland , local island boy raised, but I've gotten some amazing cuts from east coast barbers and he was able to match and even surpass most of their work, at less than half the rate! Ken is a gem of a man and an even more skilled barber. If you can get a cut from him, you're lucky or patient, because the days I went to try to see him he already had lines waiting for him from the time he opens. If you want the best chance, go early in the morning, I says he opens at 10, but he actually opens at 8am. To be first in line on his busy days you'll have to get there before 7:30. Mahalo Ken, and I hope you get around to reading this because you truly are a gem in this community. So happy I waited to get my cut here, instead of back in the mainland. read more
