This place was recommended to me, as I love a good flea market! I was told that it was huge and you…read morecould spend a whole day here! Sadly, that was not my experience. We came on a Sunday, which I was told by a vendor was the best day to come, and we only needed about an hour to get through everything. There were so many closed off or empty booths. It seemed like more of them were closed up than were open. Super disappointing, because I'd love to come back and check out what I missed, but who knows if they'll even be there. From the vendors I did meet/browse, they had some great stuff and very very friendly! I got an amazing 1970's (and functional!) clock for just $1. There's a decent variety of new and used items, all types of clothes/electronics/etc. they even have livestock for sale. Lots of nice plants as well. I didn't try any of the food, but maybe next time.

I had high hopes for this place when I pulled up, but was sadly let down. It's honestly a massive…read moreflea market, but walking around it seemed like more than half of the shops were closed. Some just had their doors shut while many vendors spots looked downright abandoned. We talked to one shop owner briefly about it and she said that was their main complaint as well, that many of the vendors only showed up when they wanted to. Many of the other shops we stopped in had some cool stuff, and they have a string of vendors out front under tents as well. I found some small things here and there that I left with but nothing really to write home about. Could have been because the weather was poor on this particular day. We might come back another day when it isn't raining.

I saw two other customers come in and get their vehicles taken straight back. One of them wasn't even waiting there as I was so there wasn't a rush to get hers done. After an hour fifteen, I couldn't wait any longer for them to just begin the diagnosis and had to leave. I told the guy at the counter why and he didn't say a word back. Just stared at me, bewildered I was upset that appointments at this place seemingly have no real worth. If you need auto work done, go to Parrish in Jonesville. North Elkin tire playa favorites and just doesn't care if they good work or not.

The service personnel were professional, competent, and very gracious...everyone in the office acted as if I would be their only customer of the day. FIVE STAR rating ~ definitely! Today, the tire sensors needed to be checked, and replaced if necessary, since the car's 10 years old. The dealership quote for replacing one sensor: $167 + labor; dealership said all four needed to be replaced for a total of $700. North Elkin Tire quote for one sensor and labor, $100 per sensor ~ a $300.00 difference. NET checked all four sensors and said only one needed to be replaced. Also, they switched out the fickle nitro air for real air in all four tires. They completed both jobs in a very reasonable amount of time ~ with the same competency and courtesy you can expect and receive at North Elkin Tire. FIVE STAR rating ~ definitely! I would giveNO stars if I could. I have caliper covers on my Audi. I've had them for four years. I…read morewent to DT to get my tires rotated. When I was ready, I got in the car, drive 10 feet and had to stop. My car was clank-clanking. The covers were bent forward and very loose, hitting the rims. I stopped, reported to the Derrick, and he said he'd fix it. 10 min. later, he tells me that they didn't do anything to the covers to make them all loose, etc. Keep in mind, I had new tires installed months previously and a rotation done previously with NO PROBLEMS, with the same caliper covers. Derrick lectures me on the covers saying they are not made for my car, that they don't belong and they cause damage, and how I should just have them take them off. Umm.....Sir, why are you so hell bent on me taking something off MY car that YOU don't like. When I declined, he lowkey had an attitude and said "fine!" We will do "what we can." When I got in the car, same problem but louder, I had to go to work. Drove carefully. I called corporate, they told me the same thing....that the calipers don't belong on my car, etc. They were custom made for my car and have been PERFECT for 4 years. Now I can't help but to believe they messed them up on purpose. When I made it to work, I looked at my tire, the caliper had been bent forward, sliced thru, scraped all to be damned and flat out ruined. Fast forward, the manager called me and told me to bring the car back and he highly recommend that I take them off. Isn't that what they wanted all along? And they don't want to pay me for them for THEIR mistake. I'm seeking counsel. Why do I keep going back there? I think this is the last time. Just last year, they switched out my lugs for ones that don't go on mine. I pointed them out, bought the correct ones from the dealership and they DID reimburse me for those. But they've lost so many of my personalized valve caps until it's tiring. I'm just so UGH at companies like this. They SWEAR they can do no wrong. Just own up to your mistake and correct it. PLEASE?! Now I have got to come out of pocket for unnecessary BS, and go thru the changes of getting new caliper colors.
