The person on the front counter was patient and helpful as my wife and I tried to decide what to get (so much of the menu sounded delicious). We each had a slice of cheese as we wait for the garlic fingers we ordered. The slice was great on its own, but the garlic fingers were absolutely astounding. Essentially cheesy garlic bread topped with bacon served along side a garlic butter dip. My only complaint is that we didn't order a larger size!

The place is just filled with happiness and joy and it stems from the staff that is fully visible to all patrons. Everyone working here looks happy and spears to live their job. The atmosphere brought my spirits up just being there. I ordered the 14" combination. There were plenty of toppings and sauce. The cheese tasted like real cheese not some fake stuff like some places use. The inside of the restaurant is small but not cramped. There is a lot of traffic because there are a lot of takeout orders being picked up. They also sell pizza by the slice which is a good way to try different pizzas without ordering a whole one. If you're craving pizza and you're in the area of Baddeck - I highly suggest Tom's Pizza!!

I asked the girl behind the plastic barrier if they had any promotions, to which she replied "yes." I was baffled that I had to further ask if she could tell me them, wondering if I have to have the key to the secret crypt to gain access? She then tells me what I assume was the promotions, but due to the unfortunate language barrier, I had no idea what she told me. I politely tried a different way of asking...this is what I'd like to order, is there a deal on this? "No." Okay, moving on I guess. It's unfortunate the promotions aren't posted for all to see. I paid and asked for a receipt. She told me to return in 15-20 minutes. I asked again for my receipt. I was told again to return in 15-20 minutes. I said "I guess I don't get a receipt", she looked and asked for my name. After this interaction, let's go with "Bob" for my order. I've had Napoli over the years but it's on the decline between both quality and service. The pizza tonight was very thin and very chewy and didn't leave me wanting for more. I had to get a spoon to scoop out the garlic sauce for the garlic fingers because it was so think and glue-like. I hate to say it, but after many years, I'll be trying somewhere new next time.

Garden salad was fine, but lots of iceberg lettuce. I would probably pay the extra fifty cents next time to have a different salad. How is that fair? I love the quarter chicken (or any chicken) dinners here... but if I didn't have the dipping sauce I don't think the chicken would be as good, it is kind of bland. Then again, what is Swiss Chalet without their famous dipping sauce! I always get spicy, which really isn't very spicy, but tasty either way! I also find that the bread rolls that come with your meal are always hard, especially the multigrain ones. On a positive note, I love the garlic cheese loaf, my all time favorite appetizer. Actually, they do have a lot of great appetizers here. Service is pretty fast but average; and it seems like there are always a lot of servers standing around chatting - do they forecast to be busier than they are? Great spot for larger groups and children, not so much for a romantic dinner, or one on one date where it can be quite noisy on a busy day.
