I was reading the rules posted and noticed it says no aggressive dogs and if aggression is show they should leave the park. Another woman's dog kept playing with my dog and getting progressively more and more aggressive with my dog and left scratches and drew a little blood from biting her and the other owner didn't seem to care. I loved the park but i'm worried about what should I do or tell about this if another dog is aggressive again.

Worth noting there were some foxtails in the mulch so in summer remember to check your dogs paws after. Also, the gate was confusing to open but you press down on the pole. The rides are broken down by age, so you know which ones you can direct your kid to. There's a walk climbing wall, a bouncy car, a cute train, slides all over the place and swings! There are even swings for toddlers! I've never seen one before. And a tire swing for the riskier kids. I saw a pool, which would be great in the summer. I totally loved this park, and will definitely come back again. We just moved from Hawaii, so this is a step up from what we are used to. I'm going to love living here!

We just moved here, so this was a great find. The path is blocked off to prevent cars from driving in. Not sure if it's always blocked. I was amazed at how beautiful it was, the trees, the benches that overlooked the Springfield skyline and the Connecticut river. Gosh , it's beautiful! I can't wait to come out here in the spring and summer and have a little picnic. There's a set of benches that can be reserved for parties. There's water fountains that are made for people and for dogs, they are two separate fountains, FYI . This is a perfect place for a family walk, including that furry child you have. We can't wait to run a dog out here. It's perfect !

There were both baby swings and regular swings. There were smaller play structures (a playscape and a couple things to climb) that were great for the toddlers. Then there was a large playscape, a treehouse, and another climber for the older kids. The large playscape and treehouse could still be used by the toddlers with extra supervision (there are some high places that they can fall from). The playground is in the shade too, great for hot days.

Thank goodness for this park. (Thank you to the city of agawam for maintaining this park so well)…read more This park is right next to a skating park (those hardcore skateboarders). Plenty of parking. It's divided into big dog and small dog. (big dog park is twice the size of small dog park- but even the small dog park is relatively big) I LOVE that there's a trail inside both the small dog and big dog park- so while your pups play, you can get some steps in! The small dog park one 7 laps = 1 mile. (They have it labeled so you can see how much you walk) It's well maintained- not too much poop and LOTS of grass. (The big dog park seems to have a lot of bald spots so it can get a little dusty over there when the big dogs play) But the small dog park's grass is still doing well. Agawam also had some free orange leashes for owners last week or so. Thank you agawam from the bottom of all dog mom's hearts! I've yet to see any aggressive dogs here- all owners are very responsible. Also there is a trail directly behind this dog park. (I don't go b/c there seems to be a billion mosquitos there.)

What I love about this dog park is the track they have in both the small and the big park for me to walk around as my puppy plays with the dogs. At the time my puppy was 3 months old and the small side of the dog park and the people are amazing. As my puppy gets older we moved over to the bigger side. That's not even the best part about this park. The hiking trail behind the dog park is amazing. Do lookout for ticks in the warmer weather. There are so many trails perfect in the winter and the summer. Bring bug spray for those warmer weather and snow boots in the colder weather. The scenery of the river is amazing too depending which trail you take. I love how there's also a group of owners and their dogs on group hikes.

I'm not sure whether there are plans to add gates, but as the mother of a toddler-runner, I would certainly welcome them! The road where the playground is located seems to be quite busy. There's street parking and fledgling landscaping that I imagine will develop nicely and eventually provide some shade.

There is a sign, you just have to pay attention, that's all. There isn't a huge amount of parking; I think there is enough for about eight cars. The hike is really dog friendly. My Vivian loved it. It was mostly in the shade, which is another plus. It is marked really well, so it is rather hard to get lost. My four year old son was our navigator, just to give you some perspective. You just have to follow the yellow dots, and if there is a possibility of confusion, then there is an arrow in the circle as well as a sign informing you where you are. There are informational signs scattered throughout, which I really liked, of various plants and animals. This mountain is well maintained, so please keep it that way. It's about a two mile hike and not hard at all. All I have to say is bring bug spray because we literally were eaten alive; I know not use organic stuff and go with some strong stuff next time. The park also has some walking trails that provide a great space to connect with nature. A few things do need to be said about the park. The first is that you should plan to show up early on busy days such as holidays because at times there can be limited parking. The other interesting fact is that you should plan to have little to no cell service while at the park. This is great because it ensures that you won't be bothered, but good luck checking in.
