THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Highly not recommended. They give you incorrect information to lure you into…read morevisiting and getting you cleaned there. I've been only going to a dental hygienist over the years and decided to come here because my brother referred me. My brother got his wisdom teeth removed here and they did ok. So might as well get my teeth cleaned and be examined by the dentist regarding my wisdom teeth at the same place. However, from my experience, I have to say this place is horrible. I called a head asking for prices and if my insurance fully covered teeth cleaning. The current place I visited had full coverage, I didn't have to pay anything at all. I told the receptionist this. The receptionist at this dentist office confirmed to me that I had full coverage for dental cleaning and procedures at their clinic too and I did not need to pay anything when I visit. So I decided to get my teeth cleaned here. On the day of my appointment, I didn't fill out any forms before getting my teethed cleaned. I filled out the forms after my teeth were cleaned. The hygienist and receptionist was really pushy with making me get my X-rays done even though I told her I would like to only get the X-ray to check for wisdom teeth. I did not want to get the X-ray for cavities as I already took them at my other dentist a few months back. She proceeded with the cleaning but I felt like she didn't clean my teeth well. She would scrape a little and then rinse and then scrape and rinse some more. I felt like she spent most of the time rinsing and sucking out the water rather than actually cleaning my teeth. Overall, my teeth did not feel as clean as expected when you visit a dentist. Besides that, when I was done. The secretary made me fill out all the necessary forms and then charged me for the cleaning. I was not expecting this because when I called a week prior to my appointment they told me that my insurance fully covers the cleaning like my dental hygienist and I did not need to pay anything. The secretary told me the plan changed, but my insurance goes by yearly. So clearly they lied to me. There's no way that my plan changed in a week. They obviously are not full coverage but state they are. Pretty much lied to me and tricked me into coming to get my teeth cleaned here and the charging me. I even brought my boyfriend to get his teeth cleaned here too. In the end, I ended up paying around $70, on top of that they also charged my insurance. My boyfriend ended up paying around $80. I tried talking to the manger but she was not in that day. So my mom called to complain for me a few days later because it was their mistake. The manager offered to send me a credit. It's been about month or more since then. However the credit of about $70 never came in the mail. Clearly this place is a SCAM. The people here are not honest or trustworthy. They lie to you to get your business. Avoid visiting this place at all costs.

St Andrews is now a large operation with many employees and attitude. Dentists come and go here as do assistants. Often quite young ones still clinging to their grade 10 behaviour. Big rush here, don't hesitate when dentist asks you a question or he may be gone. I called to make an appointment to have a tooth fixed. Was told no. Debated for several minutes with the female voice till she passed me to another woman. The debate renewed. Finally she conned me by saying they would do both procedures (measuring my gums then fixing my tooth). I agreed, she laughed. Should have known right then. I arrived, dentist, not my regular one poked and prodded for awhile calling out numbers to his assistant. Then he said we are done. I said well now you are going to fix my tooth right. His answer "no I am not." He walked. Charged me $174. Days later I asked for my records, the very young "girl" at front desk refused. Have not been back. All this was several years ago.

The customer service is horrendous. My husband went here for Invisalign and it was like pulling…read moreteeth (pun intended) to get anything done. He'd have to follow up so many times to get an appointment, he'd arrive and they'd ask him what they're doing that visit without looking at his chart, and they didn't advise him properly on the expensive trays that he discarded and now is going to cost him $600 to replace. They didn't seem to care or take responsibility. He transferred to a new dentist who said there was glue left all over his teeth from the Invisalign. Would NOT recommend due to the poor customer service as well as the poor dental care. The dentist is close to retirement and seems to have checked out. Very limited hours.

Moreover, they were never on time for the schedule each time I was going. Later then, in one of my appointments for one of my teeth, I waited half an hour more till he came to see me, and after he gave anesthesia to my tooth, I waited again for like 45 minutes; that was ridiculous because my appointment was at 12 pm and took 2 hours more till he did work on one of my tooth for 5 minutes lmao just 5 minutes he took to do it lmao and waited like couple hours! His assistant also knew that it is not fair to wait that very long, and I asked her where Dr. Hussine was and when he would come back, and she was saying I do not know and sorry about your waiting. And today Dr, Houssine called and told us he could not continue with us and go somewhere else because my teeth have so much work to be done, and he can not do it; what does that mean? are you leaving your customer in the middle of the road? After misleading us with the affordable money you suggested initially and after a while starting to charge us extra. Furthermore, not being punctual for your costumer that pays a lot of money, after that you going to through them on the middle of the road because there is not much money you can worth and get? or because there is more money you can worth from other's and do not want to kill your time with us because you not claiming so much money from me?

My dentist Dr Rajput and the hygienist are very friendly as well and remember me each time. I generally go in for cleanings and fillings only though so can't comment on more extensive procedures.

I asked my mother and called her dentist and they couldn't see me right away. However they referred me to Dentistry on Jamieson. I called after hrs and left a message. The very next morning (a Saturday) I received a call from Jess and I was in, right away. Jess' directions were clear and the location was easy to find. I walked into a clean lined office of calmness which was needed cause I was a little apprehensive. I even noticed they have iPads for the kids. I was greeted warmly and after filling in a easy new patient form I was promptly brought into the examination room by Justine and she filled me in on X-rays and what they were going to do. The new office boasted state of the art new equipment including a panoramic X-ray that was so easy and my favorite the flat screen tv to distract me from what was about to happen in my mouth. Now I have avoided dentists like the plague after some harrowing experiences with 2 separate dentist. Dr. Asi came in and had a calm confidence about him and he put me to ease right away. He reviewed my urgent issues and brought up some new findings. His knowledge and communication with me was excellent as he explained everything clearly and answered all my questions and put my concerns to rest. Now was the time for the broken tooth extraction. Remember my dislike for this whole process. Dr. Asi's gentle approach and technique was amazing. I hardly felt anything and before I knew it, it was all over. Now for what could be the painful part - the cost. I don't have any dental coverage so everything is out of pocket. This part was just as gentle as the procedure. Dr. Asi's rates are the most reasonable out there. A great dentist with great rates, I am returning to get the other issues and recommendations taken care of. From the initial walk in, to meeting the great staff and a talented doctor it was the best dentist visit in my life. I was pleasantly relieved that it worked out that way. I live 3 hrs away and I know to stick to a good thing when I find it. And I have found it in the BEST PLACE for dental care, Dentistry on Jamieson. Thank you Dr. Asi - Jess - Justine
