My dog was attacked by another dog during her stay at Dogtopia of Midlothian during the period of 7/16 - 7/18. Dogtopia was somehow not aware of the attack when it occurred and brought my dog to our vet a day or two after the attack occurred. Our vet indicated that the wound was 'NOT fresh', was now infected and would require stitches, pain killers and penicillin. Dogtopia indicated to our vet that they were not sure when the attack occurred and that they would need to review their videos to make this determination. Dogtopia indicated that my dog had been attacked by a breed of dog (didn't want to disclose the breed) that had a propensity for this type of behavior but somehow had not taken any steps to prevent the incident from occurring. So in short, they were negligent in preventing the attack and were not even aware that the attack occurred. Their initial offer was to discount my dog's boarding charge by 1/2, which was completely unacceptable. I shortened my dogs stay by 2 days due to concerns for my dog's safety due to this incident and they comped the boarding charges that had been incurred.

A volunteer tracker offered assistance before I even knew my dog was missing and Marla didn't take her help until I spoke with the tracker the next day. On day 3, she finally started handing out flyers that I made. She's been playing victim throughout the whole experience because I didn't want her in my house anymore to care for my other pets, threw a fit that her number wasn't on the flyers, and that I didn't invite her to participate in professional tracking with scent sniffing dogs (she did pay for it though).
