This is my review based solely on the brewery. We were driving up to Canada and happened to pass by this place. We decided to stop for a drink (we love trying local breweries when traveling). The service was friendly and our bartender was great. She was on top of it! Our fried pickles were delicious and the beer was nice and cold. I fell in love with this lodge and would love to come back after learning that you can take a snow mobile tour here. This is a really cool place for nature and adventure lovers.

This is a fantastic place. We were driving to Quebec from Portland and saw this place driving by. Made a U turn and came back. Glad we did. It was 9:30 on a Tuesday. In addition to being a restaurant and bar, it has an outdoor section, several patios, a hot tub and pool. They also have a gift shop and game room, pool table, they do raft trips and rent out ATV's, too!! Probably more, but I digress. The decor is upscale wood cabin. Furniture is heavy wood matching the walls and pillars. I began with a Penebscot Porter. A dark, robust beer that tastes of coffee and chocolate. Perfect breakfast drink! THE FOOD: I ordered a lobster omelette, which comes with home fries and toast. They also put a slice of kiwi and a strawberry on the side. This was one of my favorite omelettes of all time. All that Lobster flavor with cheese and mushroom. Loved it. The home fries were excellent. Toast good. My travel girl also had an omelette and said it was very good. She got a veggie stir fry in place of potatoes, and they were excellent. After eating we walked around and saw the tons of old pictures on the wall, the gift shop area, and outside area. Looked very cool. Probably a fun place at night for the locals. My

Review of the bar "brewery" nothing else - the beer was mediocre and the food is standard bar fare. Very remote so the only game in the area. Looks like a neat place to stay for a night or two but the "brewery" is very lacking. 2.5 rating. Works for a pit stop and to feed the kids.

This is strictly a beer review. Stopped in on the way to portland. Had no idea this place was on the way. Got a couple of flights, tried all their beers. They were all good with a few standouts. The big mama blueberry, vanilla porter with Jim beam, and octoberfest were fantastic. I left there with a growler of the porter. This place has a ton of other stuff going on and I'm sure the friendly staff won't mind helping you out. BIG respect to the brewers for only having their brew on 8 taps all the time. No bud no coors no bs on tap.

Restaurant at Northern Outdoors. We had 3 meals here. All were great. Small menu. Burgers were really good. Boneless chicken wings were huge and cooked perfectly. The brewpub helped me too! Service was overall excellent. Liz the bartender, server was the standout. She made my GF a Sangria with prosseco. She loved it. Huge breakfast options too. I got the loaded hashbrowns. Four people could have split it. Looking forward to going back.

While heading twards Canada on the old Canadian Highway we came across the Kennebec Brewery. This really cool Maine Micro-Brewery is located at Northern Outdoors an outdoor recreation mecca offering Rafting Trips as well as resort style lodging. On our trip we had Some Burgers as well as a BLT and of course a Beer Sampler. The Food was fantastic! Great tasting Burgers and really good quality. The Beer Sampler was great as well. Overall this is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat and hang out for awhile before crossing into Canada.

I ended up at the Northern Outdoors, which is the rafting/snowmobile/camping resort type place this restaurant is located inside of.

There isn't a lot of seating available, but I guess they do a lot of takeout business and we certainly had no trouble getting seating on this visit. They are open two days a week, so you might want to confirm they are open before you go. The atmosphere and the service were terrific, as were the hot tender (bare) chicken wings we ordered. My wife wanted to try a special pizza they were offering that day, and I can't say I liked it as much as she (and others) did, but I suspect I would have liked a classic tomato sauce-based pizza much more, so it is just a matter of taste rather than quality. I imagine we will going out there again sometime, but I hope the roads are bare next time!

Placed between beautiful Main Stream and a quaint dairy farm, step inside this hidden gem and take in the modern contrast of good tunes and graffiti artwork. If you're looking for a bite to eat, ask about their specialty pizza of the week. It's sure to be differently delicious. Or try their wings if that's more your style. Whatever you prefer it's sure to cure the drunkies! East Outlet is surely worthy of being deemed "The Spot" if you're looking for a personal experience in one of Maine's dopest brewery.

Brew the Coop Newish…read more(ca. 2019) Brewpub located in the heart of Downtown Rangeley that's located in a historic (ca. 1912) tavern. Not only do they sport their own brews, but they have a killer brick pizza oven to boot. The Good: *Huge outdoor space but oddly they don't have any coverings, like umbrellas, to keep you out of the sun. *Great views of the lake and people watching. *Service was friendly and pleasant (see below) *Nice selection of their own brews and other micro and macro brews on-tap, as well as fermented grapes, as well as a full bar. *Tater Kegs were delicious and a very unique item; if cheese and ham stuffed tater tots doesn't get you torqued up, then it's time to turn in your foodie card. *Bison burger was excellent and cooked perfectly medium. The concomitant brioche bun and bacon jam really sealed the deal, as well. The fries were pretty bomb, too. The Meh: *"No Pet Policy" is kinda wild, but kinda ubiquitous here in Rangeley. Which, to tell the truth, is sorta strange because it's usually rich people who like to schlep their dogs around and what do rich people like to do? Ski, boat, and fish--three things synonymous with Rangeley. Interesting, eh? *Interior isn't as big as it looks from the outside, but is still fairly ample. *They seemed overwhelmed on our visit and very short-staffed, as the food took a looooong time to come out. Fortunately, we were in vacation mode--and I had a beer in-hand--so it was all good on our end, but if you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be it. The Ugly: *The fact that they actually have to have a "Bee Policy" (see pic) is crazy. If I have to explain it to you, then you're part of the problem. *Their "website" (aka The Facebooks) is kinda funny place to be posting people with their dead deer carcasses. 0_o Conclusion: A couple of iffy deals here, but the food was fantastic--and that's what matters.

We shared appetizers (tots, truffle fries, pickle chips) and then some pizzas. Pizzas were creative and larger than expected! We had plenty of leftovers for midnight snacks. My favorite was the blueberry pork pizza. It was an unexpected pizza combo, but it works!!! Drink selection is vast! I had a canned blueberry sour and I was super pleased. I will say we asked for water when we ordered drinks, and again when we order meals and we never got them. I understand we were a bigger group, but it would have been a perfect experience if we could have gotten water with our meal. I liked this place! I'll come back the next time I'm in Rangeley and try more pizzas.
