I grew up at this rink and let me tell you what, it's a shit hole. OK, OK. It's not a shit hole. Shit holes are nicer. The boards are warped, the ice is crappy, the locker rooms smell, people shit in the urinals and piss in the showers. There's a good chance you'll leave this place with herpes or HIV...at least a tetanus shot. read more

I have to somewhat agree with the above review-the place was dumpy, which was made obvious by the collapse of the roof--thankfully the team of young kids that had been there praticing had just left before it happened! Anyway--this business no longer exists! read more

The Kennebec Ice Arena is now the Kennebec Pile of Rubble. I hear from a former employee of the company contracted to clear the snow from the roof that it was overdue be cleared. The owners said no. Works out since the problem took care of itself when the roof caved in. Now instead of being a shit hole as previously described, it's just a hole. In the winter you can skate on the ice in the parking lot, which is usually better than the ice that was inside. So I guess life goes on. read more
