The ideal family retreat!…read more Arnsheen is an old famhouse available to rent on the Drumlamford country estate, it sleeps up to nine in a double room (en suite), family (double + single) and two twin rooms. We have stayed here several times over the last few years and it is always magnificent. The famrhouse itself is well maintained and always really welcoming. The estate is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so there is little to do expect relax and walk! There is fishing available in the estates Lochs and shooting can be arranged through the gamekeeper on the estate. They also offer a few other smaller properties to rent.

I've been inside all 3 and oatfield is my…read morefavourite although the loft is back to front with the upstairs having the living room kitchen and downstairs having the bedrooms, it does have the best views of the mountains and across the fields and over the golf course. The beds are really comfy and all the bedrooms have their own ensuite plus an additional bathroom when people come to visit so they don't have to go through the bedrooms. There is lots of car parking spaces and the owners can lend bicycles out as well as golf clubs. There is lots of things to do in the area but it's also a really good place to stay to relax and then take your day trips from a central location when you feel like it.
