Everyone should take the time to visit Kendricks and take their awesome tour! Tours are available 2 times per day and it is quick and easy to call and reserve a spot. And, it's free! Your tour guide will provide you with a very nice headset so that you can easily hear your tour guide during all parts of the visit. It was freezing cold for our tour, so we got to ride between the different buildings. We learned so much about the operations and enjoyed watching the process from the semis unloading, to the debarking, to the trimming and planking, to the grading and loading. These employees work hard and fast, we were impressed to see how much they do! We also saw the mulching area, kiln and steamer area, and even the veneer logs. The tour continues at the cabinet shop about 6 blocks from the mill. We got to walk through and see all of the stations and process for building the custom cabinets. A new sign business is up and running too, and it was fun to see those orders being assembled and prepared to ship. The tour ends at The Markket, so you have time to look around and shop.
We also picked up an order of lumber on our visit. The folks in the office were great to work with as we discussed options, and they had us loaded up quickly and easily when we arrived. read more
