After our initial meeting and contract, we thought everything was set. The negotiations and initial meeting and follow up was good. His portfolio looked amazing and we were excited to have him do our event. About 25 days before the wedding, we had reconfirmed what we wanted. Three weeks before the wedding, my wedding coordinator that had referred him to us called to say that he decided that he could not do the wedding. He never called me directly to explain or apologize. He has since reached out and said that it was a miscommunication with the venue. We scrambled for another photographer and fortunately found an amazing photographer and he was 25% less expensive than Anthony David. We were very disappointed but it all worked out to our benefit. Wednesday is the wedding day...and she was calling on MONDAY. (I wasn't lying when I said it was at the last moment). Even though Amy had a shoot booked for that day, she so kindly rearranged things a little and, BAM, we got ourselves a photographer. Wife to be had several ideas of locations, shots, and even examples of what she wanted. Amy loved all of that and there was a lot of back and forth between the two to come up with some great locations. On the big day, Amy was right on time and ready to go.
