I love this library! Tucked away in Smyrna, this is a privately-owned library which is separate…read morefrom the county/city libraries. So it runs on it's own system but seemingly no different than any other library. There's a large parking lot so scrambling for a space to park isn't a battle you have to fight when visiting. When I drove up, I was blow away by. the beauty of the building exterior, such a pretty place! I visited with my son and was also so appreciative of the accessibility since we were navigating a stroller. It was so quiet and peaceful when we walked in. There were a few patrons downstairs but you never would have known it, you could hear a pin drop. I was greeted and helped by a young lady who gave me all the in's and out's. I live right on the edge of the perimeter so I just lucked out and snagged a library card. After getting our card, my son and I just strolled around the library checking out the offerings. The children's section is so cute and filled with books, colorful furniture and space to enjoy some reading and play time. There was even a clear distinction between the section for the little littles and kids, loved it. I was also so surprised to see items available for rent such as baking supplies - how cool. As a child of a teacher who has always prioritized education and reading, I'm so grateful for libraries. Get yourself a library card today!

Today, I arrived at 4:30pm and was asked to leave right after 7pm, and I'm literally looking at five other people all sitting at desks, and the second study room is vacant! It seems idiotic that if there isn't anyone vying for the study rooms LESS THAN AN HOUR until closing that someone should be asked to leave. So basically, what I just had to do is end my Zoom meeting, collect all of my belongings just to sit out next to the other patrons, all while staring at what are now TWO vacant study rooms! What harm am I doing to the day to day operations, especially when it took THIRTY MINUTES to do their rounds??? The last time I visited, I was told that my video could be heard on the first floor, which was impossible, because I have enough sense to monitor my volume, even with a closed door. At this point, I'm starting to think that it's personal since I come often if I'm in the area. So with that, I will resume my patronage at Switzer, where they understand this logic, and I won't be visiting ever again.

West Cobb Regional blends technology and neighborhood for a full-service quality convenient library trip. Sure you can stay for a few hours doing that same research on a public computer terminal now, but you're also linked into the larger Cobb Library system to bring it all to your local branch. Grab a new bestseller on hold and it'll magically arrive in a few days. Browse digital reading, audio, videos to have them delivered to your device. The Cobbcat and Overdrive connections make it convenient to pick up that that hard-copy or instant digital download. And while all this futuristic stuff is nice, you'll still be able to stop in and ask a question of the real librarian staff in person. Plenty of real-live printed stuff still exists here (even Periodicals). While you're there, check out the children's programs onsite and virtually. Spaces allow for community events like tax prep and other civic causes throughout the year as well. Flexible hours make it easy to visit around work and school. Let your kids pick a random book from the large selection, or get specific with the online catalog terminals. Once you have everything selected, self-checkout will speed you on your way, or go old-school and take it to the counter. An actual person will be there to sign up your next child with their own library card, or help you find that one more research nugget you need. I'll be in later to grab my hold-copy of that latest best-seller thriller beach read.

Best Library in Cobb County, HANDS DOWN!…read more Over the last 6 months I've been spending time at various libraries throughout the city and surrounding areas, and I tell you nothing compares to The North Regional Library in Kennesaw, GA - Cobb County. I've been doing some market research on how to start a business and the library is a one stop shop for all of my needs. The building is bright, airy, and spotless--with large windows that let in lots of natural light and plenty of comfy seating around . There's a great children's section with learning toys, a clean and welcoming teen/young adult room, plus a dedicated makerspace and a fully stocked computer training lab. I even brought my daughter and granddaughter here and they actually learned a lot and had fun. Plenty of study rooms--perfect for group work or meeting quietly--are available, and the outdoor plaza is a great spot for programs or just chilling with a book. Free Wi‑Fi, public computers, printing, scanning, and copier services make it super convenient whether you're a student, a freelancer, or just wanting to browse. What really stands out is the staff--they're welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Shot out to Sarah, Alice, Alecia and the entire team over there. Whether you need tech assistance, program info, or a book recommendation, someone's there to answer your questions. I didn't feel intimidated at all when asking questions. All in all, whether you're bringing the kids, getting work done, getting away from the kids, or diving into a new hobby, North Cobb Regional Library offers everything--and the vibe's just right. Highly recommend stopping by!

Tons of parking outside. They also have a beautiful garden outside! I loved walking through it and seeing what they were growing (blueberries, sunflowers, jalapeños). They have tons of events going on here including a play cafe for toddlers on Tuesdays, Wednesday's and Thursday. We just moved to Georgia and couldn't wait to locate the closest library and sign up for library cards. The librarian who assisted us was wonderful! So so sweet and helpful. She even helped us get registered to vote. She explained all that we could do at the library and how many books (50) we could check out at a time. The kid's area of the library had a huge selection of fun books to choose from and also had an area of toys for my daughter to play with. I loved that they had a "chill out" room where you could nurse your baby, change a diaper, or have some quiet time if needed. Very cool. It's directly located across from North Cobb High School so I can imagine it might get busy during the school year once school lets out. 10/10 recommend this beautiful library.
