Get a second opinion!! Went here as I had a new insurance…read moreprovider, I would have been out of network at my original dentist. Husband and I were told we needed certain procedures done, three for him and one for me, would have cost thousands of dollars, after insurance. I called my original dentist (been seeing him for years) they got us in quickly and they even had the X-rays aspen took. They didn't see anything that needed to be done. Aspen said my husband needed root canal, only to find out it was something in gums. (original dentist found it), What Aspen said I needed done was to cut off my crown on a tooth that had a root canal, to see if there is bacteria under it, they zoomed in on my crown to make it look like I had a big hole in the crown. Turns out it was just the way it was cut (again original dentist figured it out). Original dentist went back on X-rays to when my crown was first put on. Aspen should have done that. Even if we had all the procedures done, it would have been way less out of pocket at my original dentist. Red flags went up. This was a year ago. No issues with any of the teeth aspen said we needed to have work on. They just want you to open up your checkbook.

They play with your time a lot. They schedule an appointment months in advance and send you a text…read moremessage with the appointment date and time. Then the day before the appointment, they call and give you a different time to confirm and say their system shows something else, even though I always had proof of the correct time on my phone. This has happened to me more than once. Today they made me wait for an hour and a half. It wasted my time and was very disappointing. It is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of patients time. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The manager responsible for these repeated scheduling issues should be held accountable, This level of disorganization and disregard for patients time is completely unacceptable! I'm changing to a different dental office and will never come back here again.

I cannot recommend Modern Dental enough! They have supported my family through two different…read more"broken front teeth" emergencies, and their care has been nothing short of exceptional. During such stressful moments, the team consistently showed up for us with genuine compassion and support. They truly treat their patients like family, making sure we felt comfortable and well-cared for every step of the way. I am incredibly grateful to have such a skilled and kind dental team here in Minot. If you want a practice that combines professional excellence with a heart, this is the place to go!

Le sigh - I hate breaking up with my providers. Still, I like me enough to know when to walk away…read more Are you curious to know how we went from 4 to 2? Here goes! The initial appointment went smoothly. I scheduled part 2 of the expected 6 & decided to go ahead and lock in my husband's new patient appointment at the same time. They had an opening on President's Day & I confirmed with the desk that they would, indeed, be open. She adv they would be. 9am, perfect. Shortly after my second visit, I got a message that they needed to reschedule him. It happens. I call & they say they have the same day, just in the afternoon. I reconfirm that they're sure, still a holiday. Yup, 100% - the gal just wasn't going to be in that morning. Fast forward to after my torture chamber experience, and they call again to reschedule for a month later. Nah. On to my major issues. Nicking a nerve happens - they're shooting blind, but most providers would back out and ease up when the patient bucks, eyes shoot open or clench shut & tears roll out. Instead, I got a deeper dig. I have birthed 2 children without meds. I've walked (hobbled) out of the forest on a broken ankle. I've been married +30yrs. Never have I endured such an intense pain. It was like I was in an electric chair with every volt being directed under my tongue. The kicker, I wasn't numb! They had to do it again! I leave feeling like I've been worked over by Tyson. My face swollen & tingling. My next appointment for a few weeks later to have the crown set. (Important Note: This was my 5th crown, bad genes, never has it hurt besides the injection pinch.) Evening comes, I'm still tingling & swollen, next morning is the same, as is that evening... well, this isn't right. I call the next morning, and they send a script for prednisone - it helps, tho the tip of my tongue is still numb and almost feels like I burned it. They advised this *may* go away, or not. We'll see. On to my 3rd, and final visit. When I go in, the gal couldn't get the temp off. They offer to numb me and "really work on it" - hard pass. I explain why, and they act as if they didn't hear me. I get it... people are Sue happy, admit no wrong, but a simple acknowledgment would be kinda nice. I tell the silent room that I'm going to tough it out, just do what you need to. So, they do, and I'm back to a chipmunk face. Grrr The doc legit walks in without a word, slaps the glue on, presses the crown on, says, "Bite down hard" & walks back out without another word. Weird. The good news is the crown looks great. Yay
