Get a second opinion!! Went here as I had a new insurance provider, I would have been out of network at my original dentist. Husband and I were told we needed certain procedures done, three for him and one for me, would have cost thousands of dollars, after insurance. I called my original dentist (been seeing him for years) they got us in quickly and they even had the X-rays aspen took. They didn't see anything that needed to be done. Aspen said my husband needed root canal, only to find out it was something in gums. (original dentist found it), What Aspen said I needed done was to cut off my crown on a tooth that had a root canal, to see if there is bacteria under it, they zoomed in on my crown to make it look like I had a big hole in the crown. Turns out it was just the way it was cut (again original dentist figured it out). Original dentist went back on X-rays to when my crown was first put on. Aspen should have done that. Even if we had all the procedures done, it would have been way less out of pocket at my original dentist. Red flags went up. This was a year ago. No issues with any of the teeth aspen said we needed to have work on. They just want you to open up your checkbook. read more

They play with your time a lot. They schedule an appointment months in advance and send you a text message with the appointment date and time. Then the day before the appointment, they call and give you a different time to confirm and say their system shows something else, even though I always had proof of the correct time on my phone. This has happened to me more than once. Today they made me wait for an hour and a half. It wasted my time and was very disappointing. It is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of patients time. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The manager responsible for these repeated scheduling issues should be held accountable, This level of disorganization and disregard for patients time is completely unacceptable! I'm changing to a different dental office and will never come back here again. read more

Office experience is horrible . It starts out with a friendly booking of an appointment in person mind you with the guy who works the front desk, take a day off work to get a simple dental check and cleaning done . Come to the appointment two weeks later to get told there's no record of an appointment being made. No one in the office waiting to be seen and a clear schedule and they cant see me .. this was told to me by the office lady who was working today that they don't have walk ins available even if there's no one being seen , this office needs to improve with actually confirming appointments so that people aren't taking time off work and driving sometimes over an hour to get denied. (Side note an elderly woman just had the same thing happen at the same time and she drove 150 miles) read more

Front office is horrible. Told me over the phone they could pull a tooth same day, & when I show up I have to wait until Monday. Not a huge deal I needed to start antibiotics anyway, then Monday comes & they want to push it back another 2 weeks. I called & a lady worked with me & got me in next day, after I explained I work in the oilfield here & am 2 hours away. Have to find a relief, time the trucks right with a 4 hour round trip, & it's just a hassle. The old lady at the front is no help nor does she care. The dentist & staff doing actual work on your teeth are great. Very considerate of you being comfortable, & work with YOU as much as possible, and really kind. I'm extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism I experienced at the Minot Aspen Dental location. I had a 5:00 PM appointment that I scheduled by calling the Minot office directly the day before. I drove two hours one way to make this appointment -- only to receive a call and text 15 minutes before telling me they needed to reschedule. I was already one minute away, so I went in to find out what happened. I was told it had something to do with my out-of-state address, which made no sense since I called the correct location myself. Then the explanation switched to the doctor being behind and too busy to see me. But the reasoning kept changing -- and nothing explained why they waited until the last minute to cancel. At one point, I even asked the receptionist, "It sounds like you assumed because I had an out-of-state address that I was scheduled at the wrong location -- and you gave my spot to someone else." She didn't deny it. While I was waiting, I overheard a lot of whispering whenever the receptionist left the desk -- it felt like they were trying to avoid being overheard. And worse, I heard the doctor, from behind the wall I was sitting near, tell someone, "I don't care." Whether it was about me or not, it was completely unprofessional and just added to the feeling that I wasn't being respected as a patient. I have two chipped teeth that need attention before starting a new job. This visit was important. The doctor, who was supposedly "too busy," kept walking back and forth in plain view. The office manager wouldn't even speak with me -- she was "too busy," too. I was left dealing with the front desk staff, who offered me a $100 gift card and told me I could reschedule. That gift card doesn't make up for a four-hour round-trip, the lack of communication, or being treated like an afterthought. What if I had driven from the state on my address to see them? This whole experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and dismissive. I will not be returning. read more

Do not go here! In May 2021, I made an appointment for my husband and me to get our teeth cleaned; just the regular 6-month cleaning. They led me to believe that we would be getting a cleaning, but during that visit, they only took x-rays and told us that we would have to make another appointment to get our teeth cleaned. Weird, but it gets weirder! After the x-rays, the actual dentist tells me my teeth are in great condition, and we could move on with scheduling a cleaning, so I did. As I was checking out, the clerk tells me that I needed 12 fillings and that we could schedule those, as well. I scheduled a cleaning visit and told her I would get back with them about the fillings. I got a second opinion which I was told I definitely did NOT need any fillings. So, I called to cancel any future appointments that I had with Aspen and was told, "You can't cancel." Fast forward to present date (Jan 2025), I receive a bill from a debt collector representing Aspen. I lived in Minot until Mar 2024, and Aspen never sent me a bill. You'd think in just short of three years, they could have billed me. What? Trust me when I say, you do not want to go there! read more

After making an appointment I received an email requesting several pages of information. I filled it out and submitted it only to find out that I had to do it again on their iPad (which was sticky and nasty). The receptionist wasn't very kind. She was curt and argumentative at our first meeting. I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking she may be having a bad day. However, the patient that arrived after me was treated with extreme respect and kindness. It should be noted that Sierra bent over backwards to try and help us. But the receptionist continued her disrespectful and argumentative tone. I left and will never patronize Aspen Dental again. It's not just stressful for healthcare workers during COVID. They should realize it's just as stressful for us seniors trying to keep up on our preventative care. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I met with Hygienist Jackie who was so sweet and very knowledgeable. She made my X-rays a breeze and quickly got me back for my cleaning and exam. She was understanding of my needs and often checked in on my comfort level during my service. She walked me through everything and shared details regarding my care. The staff there was friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a great experience. read more

Had an appointment for the day after Memorial Day (May 28th) for a regular scheduled 6month cleaning. Was called the Friday before (May 24th) and was told no hygienist was on duty for the day and they needed to reschedule. No big deal, I can reschedule....but when the administrative assistant told me it would be next April or May of 2020...that didn't fly! I said I can't do that and we needed to find something sooner. She then told me she would put me at the "top" of some waiting list to get in. I haven't had a phone call since... Almost a year to reschedule just didn't make sense....I called my old small town dentist and got in 3 days later. When I had my teeth cleaned once before at Aspen Dental in Minot, the hygienist was great, the assistants were great too! read more

I had a crown done at the Minot office. I had to pay my share of what the insurance didn't cover before the initial appointment, which was fine. (Feb 2021). We went through the process of getting the mould all done for the crow done and sent in. I happened to end up with meetings scheduled at work on the day that I was supposed to come back to get the crown put on. I live about a two and a half hour drive from Minot, but that's the closest dental office that takes my insurance. I didn't get around to calling back to reschedule the appointment. the temporary crown was doing fine. In June/July they sent me bills saying that unless I pay the remaining amount left on the crow, over $600-800 (can't remember the exact amount), they would send me to collections. My husband made one or two $200 payments before telling me about it. I tried to make the appointment to get the crown put on so they could run it through insurance. they told me that I had to prepay the whole amount because now it was a different billing code and my insurance may not pay. That did not make any sense to me. It was still the same crown that it was six months earlier. Not sure why the billing code would have changed. I had to save up the last of the $450 to pay for the crown. The billing dept said that they would try to send it through my insurance. I did not hear anything back. Long story short, after many calls back and forth between Aspen, me, and my insurance, they claim that my insurance deneed the claim and my insurance says that Aspen never sent them a claim for the crown. I ended up out about $850. I will never go back and I make sure to let everyone know how dishonest this dental office is. read more

If I could rate "0" stars I would. $1890 for crown and filling. Have made SEVERAL attempts to straighten out bill as repeatedly insurance has denied because ASPEN DENTAL enters wrong information. Today was my 4th phone call. They claim they have called to get necessary information. I have never had this degree of difficulty getting a claim sent to insurance (we have 2 for God's sake). I have had several crown, NONE (even with root canal) have cost this amount of money. RUN......don't walk from this business.... read more

Worst place to schedule your appointment. Whoever works in the front desk to schedule your appointment is not telling you that if your not been seen for 6 months or so. They will schedule you again for x-ray and examination. Even do you've done it before. I called because of my broken tooth and ask for appointment. Instead they will charge my insurance again extra for the x-ray and exams that they already done before without fixing my tooth. It is a waste of time and I don't like to be expose myself to COVID every appointment and charging my insurance ever time I set up for appointment. It's kind of a scamming you out of your insurance without fixing your broken tooth problem. I've been to a dentist in California and never have this problem before. I've been spoiled by the military too that they took good care of my teeth for 20 years. The doctors and dental technician always let you know the process. read more

It's been just over two months since I wrote my review of Aspen regarding my 81 year old mother's horrible experience with them. Despite their written response, my mother still does not have her dentures after 13 months of waiting. In the last two months, they have jerked her around with multiple appointments that still haven't resolved any of the issues. The last time she was there, they gave her yet another appointment and even wrote it on one of those appointment cards. She gets there today and they tell her they can't find her appointment and, by the way, we still don't have your dentures. Meanwhile, they are collecting payments for a service they haven't provided. It is beyond shameful that they treat their customers this way and especially the elderly. My mother, who was frail and anemic to begin with, has now lost 20 pounds because of their shoddy dental work and her inability to eat the way she use to. She is wasting away and they clearly don't care. They've been provided every opportunity to make it right and have failed to do so. I think it's time to involve an attorney. read more

Less then one star !! I went to aspen , and they gave a walk in my appointment, so I ended up being late for work. They told me I needed a root cannel, and that it would cost 2,700.00, so I decide to have them pull the tooth instead. When I went in to have it pulled, they had to keep deadening the area, because it felt the she was pulling it to the side instead of down, it cost 271.00, it took two hours, it was removed in Sept. and I'm stilling having problems with bones sticking out, and the other day it felt, and looked like my front tooth was pushed out, and my sinuses were bothering me. The tooth they removed was my back top tooth, so why was the root of my k9 sticking forward, they broke my jaw bone !! read more

Went in the have a sealant on one tooth, fix a cavity on another. During the procedure I notice him drilling then packing a tooth in the bottom directly below the one he's supposed to be working on. I am thinking, oh I must have the cavity there not on the top like I thought, he then says ohhh wow... the assist asks what and switch languages to something other than English, they then giggle and he proceeds to then start working on my top tooth. Since then I can't bite down on either tooth unless it's very lightly due to it hurting so bad..... Won't be back even if they were the only In-network Dentist in Minot. read more

Worst staff Had a horrible day had a appointment at my local Aspen dental office 1st off i got a call saying they didn't have time to start my molds for my teeth now mind you all a long everyone kept talking about my permanent teeth to find out today all they are doing is a hard realine, 1st time I heard this well I told them for the 2nd time I had different dental insurance now could they please check to see how much for different teeth, well I show up explained to the tech that my teeth don't fit at all with out alot of glue, oh we can fix that we can do a realine and they will fit a whole lot better, ok let's try again well needless to say by the time they were done with that they were worse tops wouldn't stay in and when I said that the office manager walked in and asked about me wanting different teeth I said yes I do and again told them they fit worse then they did when I got there, even before I left the exam room my teeth were in my hand, went into the office with the manager to find out that they didn't do as I had asked because on 2 different times to get me a total of how much to get better teeth that fit right only that she knew I had different insurance now, let's just say the more she talked the more upset I got, before I started screaming at her I got up put their teeth on her desk and walked out she told me to take my teeth so I turned around and said those are not mine they don't fit in my mouth so they must be yours . So now I wait and see what they are going to do to help me After talking to there parents satisfaction team i have an appointment with the dentist on Wednesday to talk to him about my dentures maybe he will listen to me but worried even if he does i dont have the feeling his staff will but we will see right now looking at paying another 1500.00 for an upgrade to their best dentures but I honestly feel I shouldn't have to pay anything with what I have been through with this place but don't see that happening read more

I made a appointment with them on a Wednesday, when I arrived for the appointment, they told me that my appointment was 4weeks away from the time I made the appointment :-( I was in pain and they didn't seem to really care about THEIR mistake or the pain I was in. Going to the Dentist should be a painless experience in more ways than one!! Unfortunately with Aspen Dental they just continued to disappoint at each turn. Very HIGH pressure sales, to purchase all of the products and services. Jeez I felt like I was at a used car lot. The Doctor prescribed the wrong medication and didn't seem overly concerned! Never been to any other dentist my whole life until my insurance wasn't accepted at my usual well loved dental office. So Aspen took my insurance. The check went okay, I waited 20 minutes for a dentist to look at my teeth after an assistant poked at me for a bit. Brushed it off because everyone was nice and friendly. I scheduled a filing appointment, got in fairy quick, the dentist numbed my mouth and she we needed to wait a bit for it to be fully numb, fine I get it. I am writing this review as I have been waiting for 30 minutes now. Quite disappointed, will probably not come back again with the slowness & no urgency. Either they over book or whatever the case but it was terrible. Also many staff came into my room just to grab stuff from the cabinets and drawers. Just overall disappointed. read more

I went in for xrays and exam. I was also under the impression (I relayed my wishes when making my appointment) that I would be getting my teeth cleaned as well. Aspen Dental offers free xrays and exam for first time patients that do not have insurance. But what they do not tell you is that they will try to make up the difference by telling you have all sorts of things wrong and that you can't get your teeth cleaned until the issues are resolved! I was told that I had gingivitis and three cavities that had to be filled. I was told that I had to have my teeth scaled and take antibiotic rinses and use a special toothpaste, the list goes on! The estimate to have all this done was $1300.00! The next day I went in and retrieved my xrays, made them reimburse my credit card because I was dumb enough to fall for their BS to begin with and then I went and saw another local dentist today. I DO NOT have gingivitis! I have ONE cavity! My gums are NOT recessed! I do not need special toothpaste that costs $36 and I do not need teeth scaling or antibiotic rinses! I got my teeth cleaned right away, set up my appt to get my cavity taken care of and paid $290!! Please heed cautiously if you decide to take on Corporate Dentistry. Maybe they are good for emergency situations but do not let them horn swaggle you into a bunch of crap you do not need!! read more
