Heading up the steps of Mala Market, the space already had people anticipating the start of the session by the time we got there. Pro tip: Give yourself time to park. We were greeted and instructed to grab a bowl before sitting at communal tables. The cost of the workshop covers the session and materials we used as well. Going into the workshop, Mai centered us with some breathing and meditation. It was time I had not given to myself in a long while, and I happily settled into the moment. I don't want to give details of the session away, but I will say that Mai created a space of calm, self-reflection, and creativity, ensuring it was a safe space to share without judgment. Ultimately, we all walked out into the shop feeling joyful and refreshed. It's just what I needed heading into the week. We all agreed that we would attend another session in the future!
