The associate immediately became hostile toward me, saying that she doesn't appreciate it when people come into her store and look up products online. When I explained that I was simply responding to a text message, she told me to be respectful and said that if I couldn't do that, I would have to leave. She then went even further and accused me of trying to put her shop out of business. This entire encounter caught me so off guard that I didn't even know how to respond. I ended up leaving after being in the store for less than 10 minutes. I was genuinely shocked by how I was treated, especially since I had done nothing but walk in, browse, and respond to a text message. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

So I ran in, went to the t-shirt section, and luckily they had one left in my size. While the cashier was ringing my purchase up, I took a look around, and thought I have to come back here before we leave to go home tomorrow. They had so many interesting cute souvenir items, and the prices seemed reasonable for a resort town. I was in and out within 5 minutes. But in that five minutes I could see that anything you could possible want that says Durango, or Colorado, or both is in this store. By the time we got back from our excursion the store was closed, and I was disappointed, because we had to leave early in the morning. I didn't have a chance to get anything except my t-shirt. :( I will have to plan a trip for next fall when the leaves are changing. Such a beautiful time to visit Durango. Make sure you bring extra dough though as this town is expensive.

The store doesn't have any glamorous displays but it was well organized with great brands like Toad & Co, Darn Tough, Prana, Camelback, etc. I enjoyed looking around while my husband picked out a new pair of Smith sunglasses. The store has gear for men, women and kids. The store is located in historic Durango so that means parking is mostly limited to street parking. We were in town on a busy Saturday so we ended up parking quite far away but it was worth it.

First of all, the moment you walk in its as though you stepped through a corridor of time-travel. Straight away you see the racks and racks of furs. From faux to the real deal, all are vintage & eclectic! The store is a literal maze of antiquities with details that keep your eye moving about looking for that one great find. Problem is, this store is FULL of great finds! I was undecided on a couple of things & ended up calling back once I got back to Alb. & Tracy was really great placing the order over the phone & mailing to me! This is really a little hidden place, but if you are going to ride the Durango Silverton Railstation, its on the same cul-de-sac area. Worth a look!
