Shane is an absolute Godsend…read more I came on my building's board of trustees to an absolute mess in 2018. We had a property management firm with a name that rhymes with "Parvest" that frankly did nothing but take condo fees - they didn't actually manage anything. We had bad relationships with our vendors, nothing ever got fixed, and everyone in the building was at best confused, at worst outright suspicious about the property management firm and the Board. I knew right away I'd found the right manager when I met Shane in late 2020. He's straight to the point, direct, and fast to respond (first time I called him was over Thanksgiving weekend - he called me back within 30 seconds). When he started in March 2021, he went to work right away. First thing he learned: our building was insolvent due to Parvest's poor management. In plain English, this means we would have been uninsurable and the banks issuing everyone's mortgages would have demanded repayment in full. NOT GOOD. But Shane saved our asses, creating a plan to raise the necessary money - and preparing for what could have been a difficult meeting, which he handled like a champ. He was able to calmly, plainly communicate why condo fees would have to increase. As a board member, I feel he presented this bad news in a mature, understandable way. Additionally, Shane forwent payment for months, until we had enough funds. The man went above and beyond. In my time on the board, I saw Shane handle everything from contractors with dishonest contracts to people with difficult personalities, all with unflappable grace. He can easily dissect condo docs and contracts and has an impeccable grasp on condo law - and can smell a bullshitter a mile away. Random fact: Shane worked on Wall Street before going into property management, and it shows. A year later, we're solvent, we have a reserve, we're paying our bills. We're amending our condo docs to modernize them (they hadn't been updated since 1986) and can start taking on projects and hiring better services. There's still a lot of work to be done, but things are going in the right direction. All in all, I have nothing but good to say about this business. Shane saved our association (and each of our investments) from ruin multiple times over. I'd recommend him to anyone, especially if you're sick of bad management companies that do nothing (doubly so if they rhyme with "Parvest"). 10/10, would hire Dynamic again!

I have been very impressed with Kyle Cabral and his team in their high competencies in managing my…read morerental property. As someone who used to manage my property (from long distance), I knew the pain and efforts involved in dealing with tenants...and honestly..after a few years, I wanted nothing to do with managing a rental from far, far away. I remembered calling and leaving a voicemail message with Southpaw about my desire to find a property management company to help me rent out and manage my unit...and..to my surprise, I got a call the same day back..and all within several hours when I totally wasn't expecting it! Within a few days...I worked with Kyle to sign my rental agreement, provide him information and access to my rental unit...and the unit was already rented out...all within 24 hours of signing my agreement to have Kyle manage my property! Wow..I was impressed! What impressed me more was Kyle's ability to manage rental properties. He took great care of tenants and property owners alike. He's fair..and not just siding with either side. He is not hesitant to tell me as an owner what I needed to do to make sure my tenants are happy (and he's happy to do the same to keep me happy dealing withe thing from repair to HOA as well). I am also very happy to see that...with Southpaw...the need to manage my rental property or handhold anything..is pretty much nil! Kyle took care of everything! And..I just saw..that I recently gave a consent to continue renting out my unit/extend rental offers to my current tenants..and he already had them signed extending for another year of rental at my unit ahead of expiration of an existing lease! That's a testament to Kyle and Southpaw's competencies and proactive approach to management! I love it that..for once..I can really sit back and trust that Southpaw can handle my rental on my behalf! For a long while, I worry about having to sell my unit if the property couldn't be rented out..but with Southpaw...I didn't have to worry about sale of my property anymore..because true passive rental income from this property is now a reality for me!

While I can't think of anything amazing to write about the company, I think the more important…read morething is that I have nothing bad to say about them, and that is important when looking for a property management/ apartment rental company... at least in my book! The maintenance people are very nice, and very efficient, professional and helpful. All of that goes for office personnel as well. Buildings are kept clean... my only complaint would be that when I moved into my apartment I think that the walls and carpet could have been a little bit more clean than they were... but oh well, not the end of the world.

I truly can't imagine anyone who rents at 712 Tucker in Raleigh (a community newly managed by…read moreNordblom) renews their lease for a second term. I choose this apartment because I loved the look and location and didnt want to have to move after my lease ran out. Unfortunately, as you can see from all the other terrible reviews, 712 Tucker/Nordblom Company has some incredibly serious health, safety and communications concerns that are exasperated by a terrible management company. 1) The fire alarms go off monthly, if not more frequently (conveniently happens in the middle of the night and go on for about an hours before someone turns them off). This is obviously a huge concern to the safety of all residents. When I brought this concern to the management they said it was something we just had to deal with. The management then sent out extremely rude emails to residents asking us not to contact them when the alarms go off. 2) It takes months for the management at 712 Tucker to fix serious safety concerns. The garage doors were stuck in an open position, allowing anyone to enter the property. This resulted in a few people having their cars broken into. The issue continued for at least 2-3 weeks before they had anyone out to fix it. Additionally, there was a hole in the ceiling dripping musty water for over a month. We had to walk past this multiple times a day to walk our dog and we were concerned about why nobody was trying to fix it. 3) They are obsessive about the valet trash. The trash company sometimes "forgets" to pick up your trash and if you leave it out past 9AM 712 Tucker management will fine you a $25 fee. So, if you ever take a sick day or want to sleep in, be sure to set your alarm for 8:50AM to pick up your trash can so you don't get fined. 4) The property itself has some issues: The hot water in the apartments runs out in about 10 minutes, so be prepared to take quick showers and don't even think about taking a hot bath. The fire pit they show you when you tour the property has not worked in the 10 months I've been here. The TV outside does not work. The hot tub chemicals are more often than not way out of normal proportions causing the eyes and nose to burn. The coffee machine works 50/50. 5) While the location is amazing and the apartments are beautiful the noise is intense. Lots of partying groups, drunk people and yelling late at night. Most of these issues could be fixed with management and leasing professionals who care about their residents. I hope that management takes notice and tries to mitigate these serious concerns for their remaining residents. If you are considering renting, please take these concern
