Jen is the absolute best! We have had the pleasure of working with her twice and would recommend…read moreher to anyone. Our first experience was when she was taking portraits for a relative's 50th anniversary celebration. She was taking individual family portraits and caught some amazing pictures of my family. Not only did she catch some great posed pictures, but she also captured some priceless candid moments of my husband & myself as well as my sons in between poses which show the true essence of each of our personalities and relationships. They are truly amazing and when I saw them, they instantly became my favorite pictures that she took. She has a gift for capturing the most precious, genuine moments. After that experience, my son insisted that Jen be the one to take his senior pictures because she made the whole previous photography session so comfortable. Jen brought enthusiasm and a sense of adventure with her for his Senior Session. She took her time and made sure my son was confortable with the shots. She even climbed into the craziest of spots to apease my son's request to have shots done my an inacessible river...she truly should have charged hazard pay but insead joked about the climb and was all in for the adventure! The images were incredible and the day was full of laughter; it was so relaxed and fun. Jen once again went the extra mile for us and it was truly a day of treasured memories which resulted in precious images. Jen is truly incredible and if you want someone who is willing to listen to you as well as honestly work with you, Jen is the person you are looking for. I recommend her with the highest level of confidence and satisfaction. She is so easy to work with and we have amazing pictures to treasure for a lifetime! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience with Jen, the photographer and owner of Red Petal…read morePhotography. Jen was both professional and friendly. She had multiple ideas for shooting my daughter's senior photos and we especially loved the "urban" look idea she shot in the Historic Third Ward. She made my daughter feel very comfortable as she never had to pose for a professional photographer before and was not sure what to do. Jen was quick to get our proofs to us and it was convenient to go on her website to view all of them. I like that she even takes care of sending the year book photo to my daughter's high school. I highly recommend Jen/Red Petal for any professional photography needs.

Good picture quality but don't believe '10$ one time promotion' its a regular trick to get you to…read moreschedule a photo shoot. They also promised a photo and a CD with the promotion but was later charged 177$ for a CD.

The 1 gold star is for the actual picture/digital quality I received from Magic Vintage Studios and…read morefor the 1 professional receptionist who attempted to make the process enjoyable for my child (unfortunately, we only saw her once). Everything else, I felt, was a fail. From the beginning, the selling tactics used were so high-pressure, Immediately, I was told that $10 would secure my "great" deal and hold a spot for the photo session. I looked around at the pictures on display and saw the cute set-up for the children's dressing area, the clothing choices and loved the idea of having old-fashioned looking pics for my child. Day-of, I was told that the photographer was not there and that the person I had spoken with previously to set up a re-schedule had mistakenly scheduled me at the wrong time. If you have little ones, you know the importance of scheduling everything out precisely. Basically, a wasted trip to Southridge and no apologies by the manager (never did get his name). The red flags were already waving. Next, on the day of our photo session, I was greeted warmly but realized quite quickly that the person taking the photos was the same person who was doing reception the first day I went there. The ladies working there were pleasant enough, but because the person taking the photos was clearly inexperienced working with children, she had a hard time getting my child to respond to her. What was funny was that the friendly receptionist knew what to do. Although the pictures turned out cute, the problem with many of them was that they were cut at such an angle, you could clearly see the backdrop/floor cut-offs. I'm not a professional, but I've had enough photo sessions myself to know that you're not supposed to see those lines unless they're clear, defined, smooth and the ground does not appear dirty. When ordering the pictures, I was given the schpeel of selecting the most expensive package there is ($400 is a bit much for milestone pictures) - oh, but I caught the "discount" because I signed up at "just the right time!" I decided to spend the $100 at that point. Prior to ordering the pictures though, I specified a few be "cleaned up" a bit as the overall images were not as professional as I'd like (and want to pay for). Again, these were things that a professional photographer should have and would have noticed upon taking the pictures. Upon picking up the photos though, I was ticked off to see that this had not been done. 2nd trip wasted here and upon asking what could be done about the error, was given a discount - no apology (some businesses truly don't know how far a simple apology goes). However, I did get to see the leopard print bra entirely exposed beneath the netted top of the receptionist? Wait, that wasn't for my eyes.... Overall, this was such a messy process, unbelievably unprofessional experience and one I would never seek to repeat again. Lesson learned. I would never recommend anyone I know nor can't stand to go there, either.

We couldn't have asked for a better photography team than Matt Mason Photography for our wedding…read moreday! From the very beginning, communication with Matt was clear and easy. He was always quick to respond, professional, and genuinely excited to capture our day. The automated check ins really kept us on track and easy to follow during all of the planning chaos. On the wedding day itself, both Matt Mason and Ben Hanson made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which is not always easy to do! They gave us just the right amount of guidance without making anything feel forced, so all of our photos look natural and full of joy. Both of them were calm, kind, and fun to be around, which helped us relax and actually enjoy the photo process. The results are stunning and we'll treasure these photos forever. We are so grateful for all the effort, attention to detail, and care they put into making sure everything was perfect. If you're looking for photographers who are talented, easy to work with, and truly go above and beyond, Matt Mason Photography is the one to book!

It was definitely worth it to us to have Matt travel to MN - we got an 8 hour package, fusion film, and flush mount album. Matt and Matt put us, our families, and bridal party very much at ease throughout the day, and were very considerate of cultural and personality needs. They gave us latitude on certain photos/poses we wanted but also gave us great ideas. I would highly recommend Matt Mason Photography for any event!

Kara did an amazing job with my professional headshot-style photo shoot…read more I wasn't even sure what I was looking for, so she took some time at the beginning to discus the traditional versus "new wave" style of business pictures. With LinkedIn and social media being such a big deal now a days, you better look profesh, and you better look good while you're doing it. She made everything stress free for me and guided me through the process. I'm not used to professional pictures, but she made me feel comfortable and confident during the shoot. Tried on some different outfits with some different backgrounds at her studio (which is lovely and nicely decorated) The day was painless and casual, she had a quick turnaround process and gave me a stunning final result, including a great editing process for some general blemish removal, etc. Would highly recommend Kara not just for her professional photography skills, but her personality and her ability to make you feel at ease. She handles family portraits, weddings and adorable baby shoots, too!

She cleared her schedule and was able to beautifully capture my increasingly huge and more active, less sleepy infant. The preparation that went into the shoot was top notch from the heat being turned up in the studio so my baby wasn't cold to the wide variety of outfits, props, sound machine, and she even had a camping/outdoorsy background that fit our nursery theme! We BOTH felt we were in the best of care; my baby is normally fussy in the hands of strangers but Kara had a way of calming him to get all the cutest poses effortlessly, and I as a new mom was able to finally relax for a few hours. She is also a mom to two littles and was incredibly easy to talk and relate to. It was apparent she truly loves her career and genuinely cares about her customers and their family.. which is increasingly hard to find these days! I recommend her services to anyone looking for family photos; you will treasure them for decades to come.
