This place is awful. My grandfather ordered a wheelchair/walker type device for my grandmother…read more They shipped the wrong item, and when he returned to exchange it, there was some sort of problem with the insurance. A woman was helping him and said he would need to come back in the afternoon. He did, and the woman said that they had it sorted out. Then a "manager" stepped in. I'm putting "manager" in quotes because this man definitely was not a leader or a role model in any way, and instead quite rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure of his name, but he threatened to call the police on my grandfather. He told him "not to talk to his employees like that," when he hadn't done anything wrong. The order was getting squared away. The "manager" also complained that "the whole pharmacy can hear you," as well as told my grandfather that he was in the military and he was going to kick him out of the store. He even got in his face. Nose to nose with a 90 year old customer taking care of an exchange with another employee, can you imagine? What a douche. The transaction was already being handled fine, he didn't need to step in and definitely didn't need to be a jerk. Now, my grandfather is 90 years old. My grandmother is older. Was he (my grandfather) talking loudly? He is a little hard of hearing so yeah, probably. Was he being rude or disrespectful? No. He ordered a mobility device and received a different one than he ordered. It's fair that he would want to exchange it for the correct one. I'm not sure what sad life this "manager" has that he thinks it's OK to threaten a 90 year old man, but what a jerk! Smith's is never busy anyway, so you'd think they'd want to treat their customers better. CVS is just a few blocks away and they definitely have better customer service. I'll make sure to tell everyone about this interaction and make sure none of my friends or family in the area go back to Smith's. I have worked in customer service for over a decade and it's not hard to have a little respect for your customer and treat them kindly. Hopefully this man gets reprimanded or fired, because he deserves the worst.

I purchased a Delta 8 CBD vape pen from Vape + in Ceredo, WV for my medical condition…read more(fibromyalgia). My daughter spent over $30 on the product for me. When we got it home, I charged it as instructed, but the device does not work at all. It never functioned, even after being fully charged. We contacted the shop to let them know we received a defective product, and we were told all sales are final. I understand store policies, but I find it very disappointing that there is no support or exchange offered for a product that is clearly not working as intended when purchased. This is especially frustrating given that many customers use these products for medical relief and are already struggling financially. I was not asking for a refund because I changed my mind, only because the item is defective and unusable. I hope the business considers updating its policy to better handle situations where a product simply does not work. In West Virginia, an "All Sales Final" policy legally bars you from returning an item simply because you changed your mind. However, it does not void the retailer or manufacturer's responsibility for defective products . Merchants cannot use an "all sales final" disclaimer to bypass product safety or failure laws .

It is disheartening to witness patients being treated with such disdain, as they deserve a compassionate environment for their recovery. Furthermore, This environment feels increasingly two-faced and toxic, which is a significant barrier to both staff morale and patient care; this facility desperately needs a culture of empathy. The management frequently speaks disparagingly of patients , coworkers, her own family and disregards legal privacy protections (HIPAA). It is sad to see such misery and lack of integrity in a place meant for healing. I sincerely hope for better days for the employees, their families, and patients here--everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and genuine care.
