This visitor center and museum adds to the charm in Roanoake. I stopped by during my lunch break…read moreand spent time to view artifacts and learn the history of Roanoake. The lady at the front desk was welcoming and knowledgeable about the museum. I like the addition of interactive pieces in the museum which made the experience better. They have a souvenir stand at the back and a guessing game. If you win the guessing game you get to choose between two shirts. I got the Roanoake tape measure and a free shirt from the guessing game. All in all it was a lunch break well spent and the ladies working there were lovely. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

These marecoulous women get your children engaged in the historical world of Roanoke, Texas. I felt like I traveled back in time. Best of all, our friends were allowed to participate and expand on their knowledge. All their questions were answered so patiently and the children were allowed to touch certain items and explore. The kindness of all these women blew my mind. They even hugged us without hesitation at the end of our unscheduled tour. Also, we are now in their Facebook page, so Yes, they made us famous. Thank you ladies, it was an experience we will never forget.

During my search one of the first things I stumbled across was Elm Street Studio. I loved the reviews and pictures on yelp so my co-host reached to get all the info on everything. The process was pretty easy and it was priced reasonably. Even more importantly the venue was adorable and the perfect size. We were planning to host a group of 25 ladies. The venue has a nice front room, a center area which is good for a couple of tables, a back room with fire place that is pretty big and a nice size kitchen. We used all the indoor space for our event. There is also a lovely backyard and patio area that can be used for different things as well. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to us. We got so many compliments on what a cool venue this place was for a baby shower. I would absolutely recommend this spot if you are looking to host an event. I think it would be really cool to have a small wedding and reception here.

It is cozy and trendy and makes for a great place to host any event. Jessi, the event manager, and Shelly, owner, were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Jessi helped us set up the décor on the day of the event. There are three rooms that you can use and were able to MORE than comfortably accommodate our party of 25. They have a beautiful backyard that can be used too. I would definitely recommend this venue to my family and friends. Thank you Jessi and Shelly, we are so pleased. You made our event SO memorable. Wish you success and growth!

Fabulous morning doing a walking tour of Fort Worth. My parents were here for a short time and we…read morehad only one day available to do the tour - FW Tours was super accommodating and opened up a new tour just for us. Our tour guide Charlie did an excellent job covering the unique history of Fort Worth as we walked the main blocks of Sundance Square. He was a great story teller and very engaging. We felt sad to see what an impact COVID has had on the city - there are very few people out (on a Monday morning, anyway... it was hopping last Sat night!) plaza is no longer a place for gathering. The fountains are shut off, many restaurants have closed, and multiple museums have not reopened (not even the visitor center!). I wouldn't have been surprised to see a tumbleweed rolling down main street. From the tour we learned of many ups and downs Fort Worth has experienced over the years, and we hope this situation is no different. I'm ready to see Fort Worth's revival! In the meantime, whether you're a tourist or resident, check out these walking tours and fall in love with Fort Worth!
