I called to get my medical records, the voice recording before they answer even states you can stop in the office between 8:30 AM-12 PM. I was calling to confirm that before I drove an hour and a half ONE WAY. However, I finally got a call back and the receptionist was anything but pleasant. She acted as if it was an issue that I wanted MY medical records. She stated that they no longer keep them at the office at all despite the voicemail and that Onslow Memorial Hospital has them and hung up on me. I got in contact with OMH, they said they don't even have the program technology rolled out yet for that program to even begin, therefore The Womens Clinic still has them. I left a voicemail on Monday, it's now Thursday. I have received zero call back. Lack of professionalism AND the withholding of medical records is absurd to me.

I dont really write much reviews but this place deserves a negative review and I value the importance of women's health. I read the reviews before coming to the place BUT I was willing to look past those reviews for my own experience and give this place the benefit of the doubt. What every person has said about the long wait time to be seen is true, the low quality of care of being dismissive, doctors being insensitive, no response or follow up from the clinic regarding any concerns brought up or test results is all true. Every last review is true. For context about me, I am ALSO a doctor myself in the field of mental health so I have a keen eye for level for professionalism and care of patients and clients. One thing that this place has.. but will not tell you is that they have signs all over the office that states they they refuse the right to help a patient that has aggresive behavior and management will support the staff in any type of verbal disagreement and just refer out. So what does that tell you? When I checked in theres was an assumption of no insurance, but I had insurance even though I told these people prior to making an appointment I had insurance and it was in my file at least 30 days prior to my appointment. I went to the appointment with my husband. Met the doctor Dr. Meyers, No questions regarding my reproductive health history in the past or anything that I filled out when I arrived at the clinic 15 minutes early. She didnt acknowledge my husband in the room as my spouse and that he was my support in that moment, she didn't even look at him or acknowledge him. She only looked his way when he made his presence known in the room. I called the clinic back same day with questions regarding testing and whoever answered at the front desk sounded bored and like I was bothering her. When I called, I asked about the procedure regarding lab results they said that the front desk will call no matter the results with the news and the result should come back in 24 hours. It's a bit odd that the receptionist are given the authority to do this, if I took any test or have any medical issues I want to hear that from a doctor not someone who works the front desk, because who knows who is hearing my information at the front desk as people are coming in. Plus she was reading notes from the doctor while on the phone with me. In addition, I also asked the person at the desk about how is it that I came to the appointment for one thing and when I check my after visit summary or my chart online I see that I allegedly have a medical condition that can be very serious to reproductive health. I told the front desk to have the doctor call me because this doctor has not talked to me, counseled me and we had no discussion of my medical history or anything for this diagnosis in my chart online. The lady at the desk said that " the doctor will get back to me when she has time as she is busy today." It's been 3 weeks, no test results related to me as to what I originally came to the appointment for has been relayed to be as told. I received a voicemail from someone at the front desk regarding my concerns as I mentioned above about this medical condition assigned on my chart and I was told that the doctor "forgot to tell me about said things on my chart and will do so during the follow up and for me not to worry as its not serious to my health." If a conversation was had.. then this would show this "professional" that the condition they wanted me to have I dont meet the criteria for this medical diagnosis. Absolutely damaging.
