May I suggest that you use them when entering dog adoption kennels. The kennels can get very noisy. 2) Meet and greet areas are available for you to get up close and personal with the dogs. 3) One of the keys to a successful dog adoption is finding one whose energy level matches your own. A high energy dog and medium to low energy owner is not a good match. 4) Basic obedience training is a very, very good thing. Believe me, you don't want to be the one chasing your happy-go-lucky dog down a busy street after it got loose! The recall command (come) can literally save your dog's life.

Though the organization has had many growing pains through the years, what makes me proud to be connected with CCS is that everyone I encounter there is truly acting out of good will and trying to live up to the values of Love, Justice, Truth and Freedom. My observation has been that CCS is in a constant state of change, and that change always comes from a drive to improve services, transform systems of care when needed, and to be better partners in helping those served to define and reach their goals.
