I found Cibolo Family Medicine and thought that a concierge service would be out of my price range. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the monthly charge for their practice was comparable to one massage! I was a bit skeptical of this model of medicine but went for my initial visit, which is an intro visit, at no charge, and wow I was INCREDIBLY impressed by Dr Karos Muñoz!! She gave me her full attention, and was not rushed in any way. She said that her number is provided and should I get sick on a weekend or evening all I had to do was call her. I signed up and went back for my physical the following week. They draw your labs, in-office, and have contracted rates on many services such as radiology and labs. I recently had a situation where I was sick, after-hours, and required an ED visit. Dr Muñoz was available to answer my questions and guide my care which was so very comforting to me. While I do have insurance, and an in-network primary care MD, I will absolutely keep seeing Dr Muñoz, as I trust her, I love the individualized care she provides, and the ability to reach out after-hours or on weekend if there is an emergency is priceless to me. The office is clean and the ancillary staff is very professional and responsive. Once I accidentally called the office and hung up, but office staff called back saying they had a missed call from me and wanted to ensure I was OK! This type of customer service is truly amazing and not found often in my experience. I highly recommend Cibolo Family Medicine and specifically Dr Karos Munñoz for your medical needs.

He had already been treated in the hospital and was specifically instructed to follow up with his PCP, and he was also due for his annual visit. Unfortunately, we were met with extremely poor customer service at the front desk. The receptionist repeatedly stated that the clinic 'doesn't treat accidents,' despite us clearly explaining multiple times that he was not seeking accident treatment, but rather a hospital discharge follow-up and routine care. We even provided hospital documentation showing he had already been treated, yet there was little effort or willingness to review or upload the paperwork into his chart. The lack of listening, understanding, and basic professionalism was very concerning. As a nurse, I found this experience especially frustrating and disappointing. Access to primary care--especially for appropriate follow-up--should not be this difficult. After reading similar experiences from other patients, I feel confident that changing providers is the safest and most appropriate decision for us. Due to the nature of this encounter, I also intend to report this experience and provide appropriate documentation to outside agencies to ensure this issue is addressed and does not continue to affect other patients. You never know the circumstances or backgrounds of the patients and families you are interacting with--compassion, professionalism, and proper communication are essential in healthcare.

My husband and other family members go to Bandera Family Health Care for ALL of their needs. My daughter and I were feeling under the weather for well over a month and it was just not getting better but not worse. When she started to cough and my ear was killing me along with horrible headaches I made us an appointment. We walk in to a very FULL waiting area so of course my mind does a mental sigh and I sign in. The woman who signed us in was so nice. She was very personable and very welcoming. My daughter and I find a seat and are prepared to wait. As we are waiting an elderly woman's name called. She was in a walker. One of the nurses came out (a Hispanic man) he was SO VERY NICE. He called her gorgeous and spoke to her in this tone that was the sweetest. He patiently helped her get up and helped her shuffle to the back letting her know to take her time. It was such a beautiful thing to witness. People were being called back in a very timely manner. We honestly didn't wait very long. We maybe waited 30 minutes maybe a little less. It didn't feel long. Our vitals were taken by a very nice female nurse. She was super sweet to my daughter. We were put in a room where hung out maybe 15 minutes. We saw Dr. Fischer. He took the time and the patience to talk to my 8 year old to find out how she was feeling. She is a bit shy but he kept talking to her until she warmed up to tell him how she was feeling. I appreciated him taking the time with her. It was my turn and he was confident he knew what was wrong. I was getting really bad headaches and an awful earache. It was unbearable. It turns out we both had really bad allergies. I would have never guessed because we were taking allergy medication. And honestly I was a bit skeptical because it seemed like an easy solution to an annoying problem we were suffering from for so long. But he told us what over the counter stuff to take (no prescription which I was happy about) and we left. 5 days later we are both 100% better. We felt better within a day to be honest. We are still taking the medicine as he told us too. I wish I would have gone to see him soon. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we had an awesome experience. I am glad I was able to find a doctor and a doctors office that has a good bedside manner.

I've tried numerous times to have my records changed over to another doctor and they make it very difficult for you. They will also bill your insurance for procedures that weren't done, even though it was proven that they weren't and then turn you over to a collection agency AND your insurance has paid their part of what they shouldn't have paid to begin with. My recommendation for the team / clinic at La Cantera would be to ensure that they are intentional and accurate about medical documentation, pronouncing a patient's name appropriately, and following up when a patient calls. This includes the front desk and nursing team. I will say that Ms. Gloria is always so kind and attentive! Overall, I recommend the practice but the aforementioned, including receiving updates from the clinical team about delays would bring it to a 5 star office experience! During my last visit, I unfortunately waited 2 hours past my appointment time before anyone came in the room to see me. I mentioned I had to leave at 12pm and had aligned with the office, she replied "You can leave," and pointed toward the door. I mentioned the nurse tested me for flu and covid and I've conducted that test at home, and I'm here for my cough to be checked. I had ask Dr Stewart to check my throat, ears and nose. She slammed the foot still out of the table (literally terrifying my 9 year old daughter in the room) clearly not wanting to be asked to check my throat. I asked if she could check my nose and she replied "We don't have the tools to do that." Didn't even give me results from test and didn't even provide Andy feedback on my cough. Me and my family, will never go to this clinic again due to this doctor's terrible disposition. She can't interact with people, is miserable at her job and lacks professionalism.

He works with different compounding pharmacies too in order to get the right formula for my unique sinus issues. He has several offices in South Central Texas, which is a plus for those outside San Antonio.
