I enrolled in this program expecting a structured, professional learning environment. Unfortunately, my experience has been marked by repeated communication and scheduling issues that made planning work, family, and clinical obligations unnecessarily difficult. Throughout the program, class schedules, seminars, and required activities were frequently changed with little or no advance notice. On more than one occasion, mandatory activities were scheduled outside of the published class times, and changes to the course calendar were communicated at the last minute. This made it challenging to arrange employment, childcare, and other responsibilities despite making every effort to follow the schedules and syllabi that the program provided. What I found most disappointing was not that changes occasionally occurred- unexpected circumstances happen in every academic program - but that concerns about these recurring issues often felt dismissed rather than addressed. Students who raised questions about published schedules or course expectations were left feeling as though requesting consistency was viewed as unreasonable. As a private institution with significant tuition costs, I expected a higher level of organization, communication, and accountability. My concern has never been that the program is rigorous; nursing education should be demanding. Rather, I expected the administrative aspects of the program to reflect the same professionalism expected of its students. If I had known in advance how frequently communication and scheduling issues would occur, I would have chosen a different nursing program. read more

The cost of the nursing program is significantly higher than other local nursing programs. Unfortunately, the financial aid office was not very flexible or helpful when it came to reducing the financial burden. Even after receiving federal student loans, Pell Grants, and scholarships, I still had to pay nearly $2,000 out of pocket each semester. Instead of offering more affordable solutions, they seemed much more willing to help students secure additional private loans to cover the high tuition and fees. The one positive aspect of my experience was the anatomy professor, Ms. Cortez. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and dedicated to her students' success. While her teaching style is challenging, there is definitely a method to it, and she makes sure her students truly understand the material. Aside from that, the program has been very disorganized. Schedules are often released at the last minute, making it difficult to plan work, family responsibilities, and other commitments. If you're considering this nursing program, I encourage you to do thorough research and compare it with other local schools before making a decision. The Forensics program at Keiser University has been a great experience overall. While I do wish the program had more up-to-date technology and equipment, the professor still does a really good job teaching the material clearly and keeping classes engaging. I also appreciate that Keiser is the only local school offering a Crime Scene Investigations program in the Orlando area, which makes it stand out. read more

If you are looking to spend 5x the cost of nursing school this is the way to go! Be prepared to sit down with Financial Aid and be told one price up front and them to add roughly $15,000 when your ready to start the program and that's after spending $9000 on classes they claim are required prior to the program starting. Oh and to boot even after you pay up front for your classes and books they will bill you an additional amount after the fact claiming the books were just an estimate and they also charge more for the books than anywhere else!!! So glad we didn't continue sending our daughter here and got involved!! I feel bad for students going into this on their own. RUN thats my best advice read more

I am a non-traditional student at Keiser University. I have had an awesome experience with being a student at Keiser. The hours are flexible to my work life, not to mention I have a healthy school/work/family balance due the flexibility. I really enjoy the small class sizes as well as be able to focus on one class at a time. Keiser University just don't see me as a student number, but they say me a a valued student. Keiser cares about the future and is willing to invest in their students with awesome teachers and faculty that cares. Keiser also raises up leader through their leadership distinction program. I had the opportunity to go through this program where I learned about emotional intelligence, study skills, interviewing to just name a few. read more

Just started a program here and I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of the education...The staff is disorganized, and program is strict on stupid petty things. I highly recommend spending the time to find a better university, even though this one might be the fastest choice... don't waste your time or money. Communication amongst faculty seems to be EXACTLY what they say we shouldn't use in a hospital setting... I'm so disappointed and dissatisfied with this place. Probably would help if the professors spoke better English, then they could understand proper Semantics... or how to read and right English. It's unbearable. Crazy that a place can consider themselves a place of higher education.. Looking online there are so many terrible reviews. So pissed I could throw up. Everyone knows Keiser is hekka $$$ and at times it may seem like they're robbing you. I have completed the nursing program here and passed my boards the first attempt. All my clinicals were at Florida Hospital (name changing to AdventHealth). They have a partnership with them. I don't have anything negative to say about the school except for the fact that it is pricey. You can always go to a different school, but if for whatever reason you are looking at accelerated/private schools, Keiser is not a bad school. They are regionally accredited, the highest accreditation. The core instructors for the nursing program are top notch, and lovely people. Can't comment on other instructors because I did all my prereqs at Valencia. read more

Started attending classes in January 2020, was pretty good, even when the pandemic hit. Until August/September of 2020, when I hadn't recieved any notice of when I would be in my program. I had to actually call someone who asked if I was going into the nursing program (nothing wrong with that, just wasn't my chosen major). Had paperwork finally going through, causing me to be on break until January 2021, which was fine by me as I had been busting my butt during Gen Ed classes and was feeling burnt out. January 2021 rolls around and my original group go through the "fluffy classes", as multiple professors called it (aka, lying to us about the workload and expectations of the program itself). I go through 2 classes when I fail the first time and have to wait until the next group comes in, leaving me feeling like I hadn't done enough. I get placed into the next group and things go pretty well, until I get to a sophomore class that is pretty tough. I ask questions on the rubric (what exactly the professor is looking for in my assignments) to which I'm told "Look at the rubric that I gave you", leaving me feeling like a burden. I fail that class and am put on break AGAIN. About a month or so later, I get an email from the bursar saying that I have to pay almost $6.5k, or else I won't be allowed back on campus to finish. I get in contact with someone from Financial Aid to get this sorted out (costing me said $6.5k). I retake the class, with thanks to my partner I was assigned with, due to the new class size having almost 20 students. I take the class after that and am told I'm going to fail that one because of missing or incomplete work and will not be allowed to continue in the program. Mind you, I had turned in every assignment early, made sure it was to their liking and followed the rubric, no problem. I tell them it was Internet issues, to which the program director and professor tell me "That's not an excuse, you knew that when you signed the syllabus acknowledgment form" (no, I'm not kidding. It's actually on there). I get in contact with a dean, who tries to sell me every program they have to offer, from Medical Billing and Coding, to Sports Medicine. I am now considering dropping out, as I feel I would be better off. Please save yourself the time, money and headaches and go somewhere else, preferrably to an institution who doesn't try to gaslight you about you being a terrible student and who isn't money hungry and desperate to keep you. If I could give this college 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. read more

ZERO STARS! This is the worse university ever. Not only is the tuition overpriced for the quality of education and unprofessional university, it also doesn't stand by its word. I received an academic scholarship and decided to go there because i thought it would help with tuition costs, that was the biggest mistake of my life. They never applied my scholarship to my tuition! They are horrible. I was having financial problems and couldn't make one months payment and they decided to block me from the university AFTER i went to one class for the summer semester they waited for me to go to CHARGE ME FOR THE WHOLE SEMESTER. That was $10,000 i had to pay in full in order to get them to release my transcripts so i could transfer to another school. After sitting in only one class. They don't care about you, they just want your money. I spent 14 months paying back this horrible school, i missed a year and a half worth of schooling. Now i finally got my transcripts BUT they gave me an F in a class i was never even able to take cause i was blocked, how did i get an F in a class i wasn't there for? They could've just listed it as WNA (Withdrawn- No Attedance) Now i have to deal with them messing up my official transcripts. I've met many people who have left this university as well! This school is not worth it! Save yourself money, confusion, and disappointment!!! Anywhere but here is better! read more

They charge you 3,500 per class when your on internship/fieldwork. So let's say your done with your in school classes and you are going to do you internship/fieldwork at a clinic, even though your not attending classes in the school you still PAY FULL PRICE as if you were attending in school classes. They don't pay the site ANYTHING. They literally keep the money and charge you 3,500 for setting up a fieldwork assignment. I also saw students that were HOSPITALIZED and they were FAILED for missing a midterm because they WERE NOT ALLOWED to retake it, but lazy students that were partying and missed a midterm because of their hangover WERE ALLOWED to take their missed midterm. I saw this personally more than once while attending Keiser. read more

This university is bittersweet for me. I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant student and I absolutely LOVE the program itself! The teachers who teach the OTA program are legitimate, passionate COTA's who want their students to succeed! However, this university as a whole is not a school but a business. It seems every time I meet with a financial aid advisor, there is something else that's packaged in or tuition is increasing due to other "so called" expenses. The program for OTA can be difficult at times but that's the idea of studying something you're truly passionate about. It's accelerated so it can be fatiguing to keep up but I know it will pay off long term. So overall, I would recommend this school for someone who is not going to worry about nickel and diming because the program itself is worth it depending on what you study. The teachers care! I wouldn't recommend it to students who are looking to become medical assistants because you can get a certification for a lot less. It really just boils down to what you want to study and what you're willing to invest. Like everything in this world; there are pros and cons to everything. read more

Must be careful with the degree you seek. Make sure they have the accreditation for that degree. The place is old, wall all white and posters from the 90'. The professors, at least from the core classes , are professionals professionals in there field and good teachers. This place is fast and pricey,,but if you do the work and choose the correct degree you'll be fine. Try to get your book somewhere else, like Amazon or from other student that will graduate soon. If I could give this school a negative 5 stars I would. This is by far the worst "University" ever! They are more concerned about money coming in then they are about the students, this is noticed from every single staff member in the place, professors included. They are very unorganized when it comes to their classes by not having a steady professor for a class, having different professors show up every other day ( each one teaching something completely different or repeating the exact same thing every class ) and still reprimanding the students do not understand what is going on. I never want to go back to this so calles University ever and and I want absolutely no contact with them, they do nothing but harass me about paying them for classes I did not take. I went to Keiser through word of mouth. It has an excellent reputation. My experience has been great so far. Everyone is very helpful. Teachers do a great job of being available to answer questions or explain things. I have a year left, so I will update my review should I encounter any issues along the way. For the other reviewer calling Keiser "crooks". Keiser fully discloses their costs. They're a private school. You get what you pay for here... I am a former Valencia student. The teachers there were good enough, but it became clear I would have to be in school for atleast 3 years to get my AA. At Keiser in 2 years I will have my AS and working in my career making significantly more than I ever have or ever could otherwise. The cost is relative. You could go the public school route and spend the next 4 years+getting a degree and continue making crappy money or you could spend more on your education, get out there and work in you career and make $55,000 or more per year.
