I learnt how to drive with Charlie Kelly from Easy Drive, he was polite, quiet and unassuming!…read more One day we were driving in Salthill and I said to him how I hated a hill (had a bad experience driving with my dad!) and immediately Charlie made me drive there - I said to him, 'this isn't even on the test route' and Charlie said to me, 'I'm not teaching you how to pass a test, I'm teaching you how to drive' - I think that sums up his attitude very well. And of course, it's not just about the test (which I past first time!), it is about learning to drive properly. After passing my test, I went on to do an advance driving course (in order to reduce my insurance costs) - I scored top marks in this which I feel was due to Charlie Kelly and the way he taught me. I would recommend Easy Drive to anyone wanting to learn how to drive (and of course pass their test!). I used their car on the day of the test which was fantastic, I didn't have to worry about the condition of my car or under the bonnet.

I was expecting way more from a well known instructor here in Ennis, really disappointed with him…read more My wife booked 12 lessons and none were the whole hour as promised, being the worst as short as 45 min.!! He cancelled a few lessons with very short notice even knowing that she was in a hurry to pass the test due to the very advanced pregnancy. She was told that collecting/dropping her at home was a special favour, whereas all the other instructors in town are happy to do it as a regular basis. Eventually, he raised the price per lesson from €30 to €35. He doesn't motivate properly, and anybody learning anything needs loads of motivation! Forgot to mention that he never provided a bill and the Logbook where he should have stamped after every lesson of those 12 Essential Driver Training (EDT) mandatory lessons required to pass the car test that he never mentioned either. Just found another local instructor for her, such a big difference!
