I sensed he was struggling to do as I ask but when he started trimming my top, I said something. He tried to justify it by saying he was blending but why does getting hair off my neck and ears require blending my hair on top of my head? He took as much as 2 inches in some areas. I am now stuck trying to keep my short hair out of my face for the next 5 weeks, even with hair product. Despite my last name, I'm not a professional Barber, but I've been getting this head of mine cut for over 67 years and know when I'm not getting what I ask for. I stopped in and was pleasantly impressed with the welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted right away and seated immediately for a haircut. There were two barbers working at the time, with one being the owner and the other his daughter (while I was getting my cut the barber cutting my hair introduced herself as the owners' daughter). She was very friendly and cut my hair to my specifications. They clearly know what they're doing. It was a great cut with clean lines, good attention to detail, and they actually listen to what you ask for instead of just doing their own thing. Overall I had a wonderful experience there. As I was getting my cut more customers showed up, and I was glad I got there early. Just a little tidbit of information that I got lucky with my timing and if I arrived a little later I probably would have had to wait, so plan accordingly. The shop itself is clean, laid-back, and has a good vibe without trying too hard. Overall, this is a reliable spot if you want a quality cut from barbers who take pride in their work.
