Katherine is the best!!! I rarely wear makeup, so I was hesitant when looking for a makeup artist to do my wedding makeup. Khaye was wonderful to work with. She accommodated me at 5:30 in the morning since I had to be ready early for a morning wedding. She works quick and did my hair and makeup exactly as I requested. Katherine did my make-up for my wedding a couple weeks ago. She arrived on time the morning of the wedding and got right to work making sure we were scheduled to finish on time for first look photos later in the day. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up so my biggest fear was I wouldn't look like myself on my wedding day. Katherine listened to my concerns and gave suggestions about false lashes to the lip color that complemented my skin tone. I'm so happy I went with her recommendations. I got so many compliments the day of the wedding about how beautiful I looked and how natural my make-up was. My make-up stayed put all night, even after crying during the ceremony and melting in the heat during our first look photos (It was about 95 degrees outside). Khaye did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past Saturday, as well as my Maid of Honor's hair. I shopped around in Long Beach for a bridal hair and makeup artist, and she was very reasonably priced, and very quick to respond, which I appreciated. I did a trial with her a few months before, and she created a very beautiful up-do for my hair. I ultimately changed my mind on my wedding day (having nothing to do with Khaye's work), and opted for a partial up-do so I could leave my hair long in the back. I showed her a new Pinterest picture when she arrived at the bridal suite the morning before my wedding, and gave her my headband and veil (which she had never seen), and she created a new gorgeous look that morning, just proving how incredibly flexible and talented she is. I changed very little from my trial makeup session. She uses airbrush foundation which was flawless. Many guests commented I never looked so beautiful, and I credit Khaye with that compliment. My wedding was at 2pm, and reception lasted from 3:30-8:30pm. I didn't do any touch ups, and looked as good at the end of the night as when I started. I only had to re-apply some lipstick once, and that was after dinner. She really knows what she's doing and I felt very comfortable just letting her do it with very little instruction. She is just a pleasure to work with and be around. I will post a picture or two once I get them back from the photographer.
