So I waited in the (fast moving) queue inside Sherdans, looking over the crackers, cured meats, sauces, jams and the other treats before I was helped by a very pleasant young woman behind the counter. I provided my wants - a firm or hard cheese not from cow milk - and she instantly knew what was available. A sample of the first one and a sample of the second one, and I took a small wedge of each. Reasonably priced and wrapped properly. They lasted in the bag for about an hour or so until I shared them with my friend for a picnic in Eyre Square. Local couple took over their grandparents remote farm that had been in the family for 300 years and started a chocolate factory. You can see the "factory" but it's really only 2 rooms. There is a small store with some samples. Lots of choices. Various single origin chocolates roasted very lightly on site. Only local Irish milk used. The cafe is also great. The hot chocolate is pretty awesome. I recommend the regular or dark with honey caramel. All topped with fresh whipped cream. We tried various desserts. I don't usually like carrot cake but their carrot cake may have the best I've ever had. The apple crumble was surprisingly our least favorite. All in all a great little stop on your way to Cliffs of Moher.

The salad was large enough to feed two people, & there was only one of me! Loved the flavor & felt good eating it! Goat cheese & produce were incredibly fresh. Bread was okay; if it's made in-house, then I'll give em more credit! -1 star because I wish there was more crunch (nuts + apples).

For salads and sandwiches you can choose from the menu or make your own by selecting ingredients from the deli. They have a bigger choice than regular deli to include things like roast and smoked salmon, chickpeas, beetroot, cherry tomatoes in addition to the usual stuff. You can also choose between a lettuce or pasta base if ordering salad. They also have a nice breakfast and brunch menu, as well as hot mains like noodles, quesadilla, stews and soup. Prices are overall pretty cheap, you can eat here for less than €10. The staff were pretty nice, not much to say there, and the cafe itself was fairly clean with nice seating. However it does get full at lunch time on weekdays since it's near the hospital, but they do take aways as well.

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent.
