When I say that our photos had us laughing, crying and screaming (in the most excited and happy way), I am not exaggerating. And the pictures were just part of it. Not only did Kylie deliver stunning galleries, but she curated a whole experience. Right from our first phone call, Kylie made us feel both excited and at ease, which was a theme throughout our time working with her. We had the pleasure of working with Kylie for both our engagement shoot and wedding. When she arrived to the engagement shoot, she brought allll the happy energy and creativity, despite it being like 6 AM on a chilly morning at the beach. She immediately made us feel more comfortable in front of the camera than I thought was possible, and then proceeded to ask us really thoughtful questions about what kind of posing we preferred, which meant a lot to us as a queer couple where assumptions could have been made... Kylie was incredibly quick with the editing and had our gallery back to us the next day, and our photos were literal treasures. She captured our personalities so well. They were a far cry from the stale, cookie-cutter engagement photos I see on instagram all the time. Before the wedding, Kylie provided two calls and made herself available for any questions that came up in between. She worked with our wedding planner to make sure our day-of timeline would run smoothly and that we'd get all the pictures we wanted. By the time the wedding came, we were excited to introduce all of our friends to Kylie and see what magic she would work. She was confident, calming and encouraging the whole day and even handled a delicate family dynamic beautifully. Kylie was so amazing from beginning to end! When we first reached out to her, we were able to schedule a call to get to know her almost immediately. Her pricing was very clear and there were no surprises in the terms. Then every few months or so, she'd check in to make sure we were doing okay with wedding planning and even offered help with vendor recommendations. Closer to the wedding, some of my other vendors dropped the ball and I was scramming to pull together a timeline by myself. She listened to me vent for almost an hour lol and actually went through the timeline thoroughly with me. It was extremely helpful going through it with her because she has the experience and was able to make suggestions about how much time we should actually allocate to each event. A few weeks before the wedding she went to scout the venue on her own, and she reached out to our florist on behalf of us to ask for some extra florals for the detail photos. I actually didn't even know she did that until I had a call with our florist! The day of the wedding, she arrived early on site and was extremely prepared. She was the only one of my vendors that gave/brought any form of emergency/prep kit which I'm sure shouldn't be expected but was really appreciated! She had extra fancy hangers in case we didn't bring any for the wedding dress, ribbon in our color, other things to add to our detail photos, etc. She gave super clear instructions on how to pose, kept the timeline running SO smoothly, had sneak peaks the morning right after the wedding, and delivered the rest of the pictures before the contract date. The site she uses to get the photos also has the best UX so it was a breeze using it to retrieve the contract/sneak peaks/photos. I don't know how she did it, but she was able to capture so many angles of the ceremony by herself! I didn't even see her running around, she was incognito! Lastly, we loved everything she captured and edited. There were a lot of things that I was unhappy about from the wedding (that had nothing to do with her), but looking at the photos really made me love how my wedding turned out. Working with Kylie was a dream come true. Yes we had to do a bit a hiking for the shoot but it so worth it. We met early morning and she arrived on time and gave directions. I love location with parking that's easy to find. Before hand she was prompt and clear and communication. I saw her work on Instagram so I knew what to expect about her quality but not about the experience and her charm. She is warm and authentic which makes you feel at ease. My partner and I are fairly comfortable in front of camera but she still helped with general posing and touch ups to ensure everything was perfect. Ex: noticing my shapewear showing She was also fairly quick with turn around time for photos, which I was not expecting and loved. Overall my favorite part was the experience. If I could give Kylie 10 stars, I would. My one, resounding, comment I kept giving her was: above and beyond! My husband and I planned for our wedding to be in SD and I was looking up wedding photographers and, tbh, Kylie's photos stood out to me the most. I was crossing my fingers hoping she would be the one we would land on and, serendipitously enough, she was! The pictures turned out exactly as we hoped: stunning, beautiful, filled with love & light. Love, love, love how her editing style! But nothing comes close to how badass she was during the day of the wedding. She arrived early and get this, she even got me and my husband coffee from Starbucks! Like I said, above & beyond. She made sure she did her best to absolutely help us on our big, yet hectic, day. During the shoot, she was extremely helpful and knew exactly what she was doing, what shots she wanted with the landscape, and the poses she suggested were everything. We were on a time crunch so it really, really helped that she knew what she was doing and directed us with such great professionalism and flow. Extremely easy to work with. We love her and our session with her. She took amazing group photos, atmosphere shots of the wedding venue and setup, beautiful ceremony shots, and even stayed a little over our agreed time out of the kindness of her heart. truly AMAZED with how the photos turned out. kylie provided such a wonderful experience - 11/10 through & through. My fiance needed a last minute photographer for the proposal and we found Kylie! She arrived promptly and waited until my fiance proposed to take our pics. My fiance and I struggled to find poses and Kylie made us feel less awkward by telling us how to pose and giving us inspiration. She definitely cultivated a nonjudgmental environment for us to capture the best pictures even if we felt "awkward" posing. The turnaround time for pictures were really quick! The pictures itself were SO beautiful and she beautifully captured every moment of this big day. I find myself looking through these pictures day and day again and it's been almost more than a month!
