We had a noon classic trip planned but we're concerned with the oncoming storms the power might go out while we were gone for over 3 hours, and it be life threatening heat to our dogs. Getting to go to the inlet side where the lake water met the ocean (& it was SO clear) was really fun, too. I recommend going at 9 o'clock when things are cooler & you might get to see more birds. Courtney and Katie provided excellent customer service. Note- The kayaks we had did not have a waterproof compartment. I double Ziploc bagged my cell phone. (I was able to get some great photos since the water was smooth & I was comfortable getting the phone out.) You might want to bring along one of those waterproof containers that you can bungee on to the boats storage cords, if you have one, though to be safer!
