The only problem is that much of the meat is sold vacuum-sealed in rather large portions. For example, one cannot buy a portion of foie gras - it has to be a whole one, and it's the same with calf sweetbread. But the fish section is much more reasonable as the fishmonger will cut fish to size for you and also fillet and remove the skin if you ask nicely. There are also several cheeses which are hard to find elsewhere. The only let-down is the selection of wines, which are a little haphazard and a little too focussed on Spanish and Italian.
So, if you want the finest ingredients at prices lower than the KaDeWe, this is the place to go. But please do go early as they can run out of stock of certain items by the end of the day.
