Don't waste your time with this Mega Firm. I had a very simple traffic accident where the other…read moreInsurance refused to settle even though their client was found at fault and convicted for the moving violation. I was pushed and shoved by this Insurance Company that dragged me along and would not put anything in writing to deny the claim. So I filed a Small Claims action, but yet the big Defense Lawyers started playing their games and finally I was referred to Charles McAleer by a mutual friend. Long story short 10 days before the first actual court hearing after additional delays by opposing counsel, Charles firm decides to drop the case and left me high and dry. Now my case was Dismissed because I failed to appear. I live in California and did not receive the proper notice to be able to travel. Don't waste your time on this money grabber firm, the only reason, in my opinion, was my case was abandoned by McAleer was because it didn't have enough $$$$$$$$ signs. The Mission statement on their website sounds great in theory, but don't be fooled this firm is just another MEGA Ambulance Chaser type law firm.

It took four years but they kept in touch with me until the end. When we went to the deposition, they were there. When we went to try to settle before going to court, they listened to what I wanted to do. When we went to court, they prepared me and they to were prepared. We won!!! Thanks Michelle H

Because of the lack of…read morecommunication, I had to send my own paperwork in to request the type of hearing I would prefer since the letter said I only had 10 days to respond and they never responded to my several messages. I left a one-star review previously due to the communication nonsense, then a very nice lady calls me and tells me she's changing my case manager over to a different lady "Amber". I boosted the rating to a five-star because of how awesome she was. Then the new lady she assigned, lied to me stating that I couldn't change my mind on the type of hearing I would like to have. I decided to search the internet and found out that I can change my mind, I will post the wording below. I believe "Amber" my new Legal Assistant decided to tell me that information because obviously the longer it takes the more money they make. I should have known better to hire a large firm like this. Bad mistake on my part! Don't follow suit!!! Info found: Yes, you can change your mind. If you initially asked for an in-person hearing with a Social Security Administrative Law Judge, you can request a switch to a telephone or online video format, though you should contact your assigned hearing office as soon as possible to make the request.
