Johann Kattus GmbH has been making Sekt (think Austrian champagne) for almost two centuries in Vienna when they added on this beverage to their initial business as a purveyor of Caspian Sea caviar. It was a perfect combination - Sekt and Caviar! Today they also produce Frizzante in addition to their fine Sekt and you can taste both in the attractive tasting room after the tour. The mechanization in use in today's production is truly impressive as you view the bottling process very close up.
