This review is for the infectious disease department. I went to see Dr. Janoian after having tested…read morepositive for lyme disease numerous times. He saw me and we discussed my major concerns relating to my health. I told him I was on antibiotics and since starting them my rash had been reduced. That I tested positive for Lyme and only Lyme. Despite such compelling facts, this doctor goes on to tell me that lyme disease doesn't exist in California. My 3 positive lyme tests are false positives. That I should be tested for various STDs instead even though I was responding to the antibiotics. Is this guy for real? He tells me my rash isn't typical of Lyme disease because it isn't a bullseye rash. He knows since he's treated Lyme patients on the east coast. How can a doctor who supposedly specializes in infectious disease set aside facts and have such a bias against lyme disease? After doing all the tests he recommended and everything coming back negative except Lyme, this "specialist" simply says this would be an auto immune issue. But it's not Lyme. Do not waste your time. This guy is completely incompetent. After over a year of treatment and DNA testing confirming level of Lyme, I'm finally recovering from Lyme. So happy that I didn't listen to this doctor. I would be in a wheelchair if I did. Thank you for nothing. You wasted my time and truly don't care about figuring out client health issues. Will never be back. Biased opinions that discard actual test results.

The only reason I didn't give Dr Sokolov five stars was because, nothing he did, but the girl at…read morethe reception desk of Cedars-Sinai kept insisting that she'd never heard of the dr. even though he told me to tell them to contact him as soon as I got there. The idiots at the front desk kept insisting that he was not a doctor there and made me stay for, with my infected breast , twelve hours, and would not let me leave because I had an infection which, by the way I got in their filthy operating room. They really are THE WORST! They made me "sleep" in a closet with no ceiling, just a huge fluorescent light above. Trying to make it less like a horror film, I made a Joke about the light saying the only person who could sleep here would have to be already dead . The moronic orderly screamed at me saying, "You want me to write you up!" I'm gonna write you up". Not knowing what that meant, I said "Fine" so he did, which meant I had to have someone sit with me in this closet. He did for a while, then when he got called, he put some guy who was dressed exactly like a cocaine mule, to watch over me!!!! he wouldn't let me put my eye moisturizer in, with "what are you doing? Give me that!!! When dawn finally broke, I was wheeled into a room but still not allowed to see my Dr. Meanwhile the infection raged in my breast , making it fully red. DO NOT GO TO CEDARS -SINAI hospital ever again, I know I won't. When I finally got to see Dr Sokolov, I had to stay to try to get infection under control, but because I had to wait so long, I wound up on IV for 11 months, while he worked so hard to find the right medication. I wound up going home with a pic line so I could infuse myself with a combination of 2 different medications. Do NOT EVER GO TO CEDARS-SINAI HOSPITAL. It was one of the worst experiences I ever had!!!!But Dr Sokolov, I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Dr lehman reviewed my paperwork before we even met she had a game plan personalized to me based on what She could see I hadn't tried. She puts her neck on the line because she knows how deadly this disease can be and how desperate we are for help. She's gone out of her way even at night and on weekends. She knows we need to push these infections but also knows when to pull back. Healing chronic Lyme is a dance - a dance that she's willing to do with you. I'd sell my home to go live in a tent near Dr Lehmans office because that's how life saving she is. I don't think I've ever left a review like this but these types of doctors never get enough credit. Dr Lehman, Fernanda, and Jose are my heroes!

Because she's an Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine, she keeps up-to-date on the latest medical research. The only minus is that parking at the Medical Center is expensive: $9 and no validation. If you're going for a physical and you think you might need to have some lab work done (i.e., a 12-hour fasting blood test for cholesterol), get a morning appointment for your physical and make sure you don't eat before you go in so you can go directly to the lab afterwards. That way, you won't have to come back the next day just for the lab tests and pay another $9 parking. If you're a hiker like me and familiar with the Westwood neighborhood, you can find street parking; metered in the Village itself or free parking in the residential area. It took me 20 minutes to walk from Midvale and Levering. My wife also uses Shirley as her general practitioner, and she loves her. As much as I hate the drive into crowded West LA (everything I need, I can find in the South Bay), my annual physical is something I actually look forward to.

She said she really cares about her patients, she has a genuine interest in her patients, she follows up with them via email/calls. She listens to what you have to say and shows compassion. I have been a patient of Dr. Uy's for sometime and I can attest that she does indeed care about her patients, her caring and bedside manners are indeed very warm and caring. With managed care these days it has become very challenging for Doctors to take extra time with the their patients, let alone after hours follow up with them. I'm very glad I made the decision to have Dr. Uy has my PCP (Primary Care Physician).
