I've been with her and followed her here to her recent new location and before her I had been looking for a stylist that is willing to work with you and give you what you ask for! I originally cut about 10 inches off my hair because it was just too long and the body and volume was lacking because of the length. I was just tired of it and no other stylist wanted to give me the haircut I wanted because either they didn't have the experience or was too scared to cut my hair! Michelle was professional and AMAZING! She gave me the haircut I needed that worked for me, gave me long layers, added volume to give me the kind of hair I wash, put a little bit of mousse in and it's perfect! I had the kind of hair people work at to have and I didn't even have to work on it thanks to my fabulous haircut (it helps I have natural waves too though)! She made it effortless! Fast forward 5 years later, I've gone and had amazing haircuts and most recently, an amazing bob that angles in the front and great layers in the back that gives me the volume my hair needs and seriously takes 5 min out of the shower to achieve! Again, effortless! I receive compliments on my hair all the time! In fact, I saw a girl with a gorgeous short edgy haircut and asked her where she got it done. Her response was MY stylist, Michelle Wysong Struck! (I was like, NO WAY! Figures!) I have gone short a few times, grown it out and I've NEVER had "in between" terrible hair growing it out! You know what I'm talking about! I've always had great hair from long to short then back to long with the same spectacular consistency in her work! If you are looking for someone who is willing to give you exactly what you want, and isn't afraid to try a new thing and will be honest in her consultations with you to make you always look good, then go with her! I've found my stylist in Dayton OH!!!

Whenever I get a new do, I try to be excited, though I will say I don't like to get my hair cut. It's always a challenge to communicate clearly with a stylist. Sigh, again, I didn't do well on my part. In full disclosure, I will admit that when I'm shocked at hair results, I usually feign that I like it and always end up tipping well, one because I'm in shock and two because I want to believe that I will like it; just give it time. Time lasted until I got home. I chose highlights, even selecting the color. Eeks.... As soon as I got home, I recolored as it just looked awful on my complexion. Yes, I count on a good stylist to advise better on what will look good on my complexion and what won't. The cut? Sigh... I made the mistake of saying I would like to grow it out. I didn't mean to not reshape it; especially since I've been guilty of chopping on it over time. She barely, and I mean barely touched it with scissors; not even a general overall 1/4 inch cut; just cut it in places and texturized it. Well, a bad haircut going in is now getting a chance to grow out as a longer bad haircut. I came home and after recoloring, restyled it and it doesn't lay nicely in the back -- a good haircut would/should have and the sad thing is it used to several cuts ago. The entire color/highlights/brow wax/cut/style took 1.5 hours. I wish I could be happy with that but maybe it should have taken longer; it always has before, but oh, yeah... that was with a haircut in there. Sigh... it's back to the drawing board with the search for a stylist and how to communicate with them and what expectations to have.

Hello new love of my life!!…read more I moved to Dayton over the summer and had not been having any luck finding someone to do my hair! After seeing the same few people from my old city for years, it was unsettling to have to find someone new.... I am VERY particular about my hair. I have very long, thick, curly and often unruly hair which is difficult to manage. Also, I went from over highlighted in the summer to dark which was not going well. I went to two salons in Dayton prior to going to Bello and was sorely disappointed with both. I found EMILY at Bello by luck, or chance, or maybe just a blessing!! Emily made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived and it felt like I was with an old friend! I hate when you go to a salon and the sytlist either doesn't speak to you or you can tell they are faking their niceness (haha). Emily was definitely not that way and we hit it off immediately. She asked me what I wanted to do but also offered her own advice for what would work the best (color wise) -- My color is PERFECT!! Also, I won't just let anyone cut my hair (because it's so long and some people get scissor happy!) but I trusted her and she gave me an amazing cut! She also waxed my eyebrows the day of my appointment (also very happy with outcome). I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with Emily! And have received sooooo many compliments on my hair only just two days after my appointment! I HIGHLY recommend Emily at Bello. I will not go anywhere else after finding her and I promise. if you have any sense of humor whatsoever, you will enjoy your time spent there! The owner, Joni, was there for my appointment time as well and the two of them together were a riot! PS: You cannot, will not, beat Emily's prices. Hands down. She should be charging more (but don't tell her I said that!! haha)
