I don't like to rip on all-vegan places, but this place was quite disappointing. We stopped in for…read moredinner as we were in the area visiting some beer bars. We saw this place did all-vegan momos, but I guess we shouldn't have expected much. They have a combo that comes with a mix of 5 momos (€11 for lunch and €14 dinner if steamed; +€1 for fried), a soup, and veggies. Both my wife & I tried the steamed version, The food came out in 10 minutes or so. The momos were far from authentic and not all that great: the shiitake mushroom was my favourite; the peanut and broccoli one had a bizarre texture; and the squash one just didn't work. They don't serve them with traditional momo dipping sauces, but with a sort of gyoza-like sauce, which doesn't work that well. The soup seemed like a watery split pea soup (why is this served at a momo place?), and the veggies were simply cooked and served with a soy-like sauce. Honestly, this was a pretty sad meal. The portion was also pretty weak for the value -- we needed to stop for more food later. The food wasn't bad-tasting, just bland, and puzzling given what the place is apparently supposed to be. I wouldn't return, but Brussels' vegan scene is still immature, so I guess that's how places like this can exist.

We gave Anna purna another go, and it did improve immensely from our last visit. However there are…read morestill many flaws. The decor is still a a massive turn off from the red walls, orchard stickers to the fake roses and dirty table cloths. That has not improved. The vindaloo had a raw spice aspect to it that burnt the pallet, could barely taste the rest of the dishes. Even though vindaloo's are traditionally spicy there was something unpleasant about the attack of the raw spice. The scampi's were over cooked and tough to eat, you could tell they were straight from the freezer. The flavour had no resemblance to the scampi flavour. The chana Masala was however very delicious and well balanced. Service was very good, and friendly. A huge improvement from our last visit.

A DISGRACE: with a group of friends (announced in advance,…read moreso they could have made any & all arrangements necessary!), I was made to wait 1.5 hours before someone arrived to take my order. Meanwhile, after "only" a half hour wait, those among us who wanted to order à la carte were able to order, and subsequently consume (after an hour) their starters. I REPRATEDLY asked that, since I was ordering a menu, perhaps I could have my starter with everyone else - to no avail. Again, it was only after 1.5 hours that someone arrived at our table (where some among us had had theirs starters) to aske for the orders of the mains - "which menu would you like?" Paying for my beer, in order to get the h*** out of there, took another 20 minutes of standing at the bar. SHAMELESS - DO NOT GO THERE :-((
