As a parent, I don't think there's anything more compelling she could say in praise of a therapist. RUN -- DO NOT WALK -- AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE Especially…read morefrom Megan Rosewell I do not write reviews lightly, but I feel a responsibility to share this so no other family experiences what mine has endured. This practice did not just fail my child -- it actively contributed to the breakdown of my relationship with him during an already high-conflict custody case. Per our custody order, both parents were required to consent and be involved in care. From the very first appointment, I was told it was "too messy" and "time-consuming" to communicate with both parents via email. Instead of creating a collaborative plan, I was: * Denied consistent updates * Told I had to sign consent and put a credit card on file before they would speak to me at all * Blocked from participating in my own child's care despite legal entitlement Meanwhile, the practice was out-of-network, costing us extreme amounts of money -- yet still unwilling to provide basic communication. When I tried to move my son to a different provider, his father refused And blocked me from obtaining care elsewhere by refusal to sign consent forms and stating we had "established" care elsewhere after a single appointment. For a while I was confused as to why he was unwilling to find an agreed upon provider. Upon doing a bit of research I realized his attorney and these doctors have personal and professional ties even endorsing each other on social media. This raised serious concerns that this was not neutral therapeutic care -- but a litigation-aligned environment. My son began coming home upset, telling me: * He was told I ignored calls and refused to attend. He told me this makes him feel like I don't care or want to go with him and that makes him sad. This was false -- and directly contradicted documented email communication showing I had been trying to participate for over a month. According to records later obtained: * False statements obtained from the other parent were documented as if factual. *These narratives were being pushed onto my child during sessions as fact creating more confusion. * My child was being exposed to adult conflict narratives and was struggling with the inner turmoil of that. During his time seeing Megan, my son reported being told: * That I hurt him and she would tell the judge that so he would "never have to see his mom again" * That he would live with his dad full-time and "get to see her more" These are completely inappropriate statements to make to a child and deeply damaging to a parent-child relationship. My son was also deeply upset and distressed by these statements, and began begging to be able to tell the judge she is lying, and threatening to run away from his Dads house to come home (He lives an hour away). When I was finally allowed to speak to Megan via FaceTime: * She did not greet me or introduce herself * Immediately dismissed my attempt to understand treatment goals/ progress * Cut me off when I raised concerns about my child's emotional distress * Told me I was only allowed to report behaviors -- not question her actions * Hung up on me when I expressed discomfort in feeling safe sharing information with her. I requested records 7+ times before receiving any response. When records were finally provided: * They were incomplete * Contained statements I assert were false or misrepresented * Required legal intervention to obtain complete documentation During treatment at this practice: * My son's behaviors escalated significantly * Multiple CPS investigations occurred After switching to a court-ordered, neutral therapist major improvements were seen within 2 months Because this practice became a point of conflict: * We have spent tens of thousands of dollars in litigation * Remain in ongoing court proceedings over a year later * Continue disputing reimbursement for these sessions If you are looking for: * Neutral, child-focused therapy * Ethical communication with both parents * A provider who protects -- not harms -- family relationships This is NOT the place. If you are looking for: * Escalation of conflict * Questionable documentation * A child caught in the middle of adult disputes * Tens of thousands of dollars to be spent in litigation and additional therapy to heal the damage this practice will cause Then this experience reflects exactly that. I will be pursuing formal complaints with the appropriate licensing board. Families trust therapists with their children during their most vulnerable moments. That trust should never be used to influence, divide, or harm. Dean Beckloff was the only individual who was professional, kind, and respectful in communication. While limited in involvement, his effort is worth acknowledging. If this review prevents even one family from going through what mine has, it will have been worth writing.
