After having some subpar experiences with other mortgage brokers…read morewho refused to work with us because we weren't buying in the next few months, we were referred to John Faria at Province Mortgage by our realtor. John immediately took the opportunity to work with my wife and I to reach our goals. We set some pretty aggressive savings goals over a year period to get the loan product that we wanted. After a year we hit our goals after John checked in and offered advice every month. He truly puts his customers first and goes above and beyond to provide a great experience. I'm happy to have created a life long partnership with John and will continue to use him in the future on new loans and refi's.

Anyone who is thinking of refinancing in the Massachusetts or Rhode Island areas should contact Ava…read moreMartinelli. She stays on top of everything and is tenacious about getting the information and documentation she needs from some who are slow to provide it (like our homeowner's association). She stayed in touch just about every day to let us know where things were at and her team at Province were all very professional, very competent and great to work with. The process was smooth and fast. We lowered our payoff date by 5 years and got a rate more than a point lower than what we had been paying (we bought our house last May but it was already worth refinancing for those two reasons and because our mortgage payments are still a bit lower). Also important to note is that when we first started thinking about refinancing in the fall, Ava worked with us but suggested we hold off for a better rate. As soon as the rates dropped, she got in touch and we went from application to closing in just a matter of weeks. Final thought ... our original mortgage lender was pushed on us by the builder of our house. Last month the banker, Rick, reached out in a form letter to tell us rates were dropping and that we should consider refinancing but that he was so busy he couldn't take the time to reach out personally. No comparison at all with Province where they actually make you feel like a valued client. Thank you, Ava Martinelli!
