After getting blown off for an appointment with a competitor ( Island Dermatology never returning my call ) I got in right away to see Dr Hutton's P.A. as Dr Hutton was booked thru December. Amy her PA was absolutely amazing and told me my dry skin condition was nothing that couldn't be cured within a couple of weeks. I wish I would have found Dr. Hutton years ago! She is so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. She takes her time and explains procedures and options. I was told by another OC dermatology office that I would have to return to the office for "surgery" to remove a flat raised mole. Dr. Hutton removed it right then and there, sent it to the lab, and her office called three days later with the results - not cancerous! No scar. I would like to start off I was searching for a dermatologist for a second opinion regarding skin lesions that had me nervous. I booked my appointment and then when talking to several friends they as well were her patient. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into a normal down to earth office. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and took my paper work and quickly got me checked in. I don't think I waited more then 10 minutes before Christine, Dr Hutton's nurse brought me in. Christine reviewed my history and chatted with me before she brought Dr Hutton in. I found Dr Hutton to be very approachable and kind. She answered all my questions and thoroughly looked over my body from head to toe. I did have one area that concerned us so she did a biopsy that day. We also discussed products that would benefit me and she suggested a few different items. Dr Hutton, Christine and I also discussed the benefits of Sculpsure and if I would be a good candidate. I feel they were honest with me and understood my concerns. I was already looking into liposuction so we discussed this as well. After I had all the information I decided to try Sculpsure. I can't give a complete review since it's only been a few weeks. I will definitely be switching to Dr Hutton for all my dermatology needs. read more

Make a square around the large block and enter on the N side of the building off of San Nicholas drive. The address of the building you want is clearly marked at the entrance to the parking lot, It is easy to wind up in the wrong parking lot the first time you come to this building. Give yourself some extra time. Had my first visit with Dr. Hutton today. She was professional, efficient and seemed to genuinely want to help with a skin condition I have had for several years. Really glad to find her and looking forward to getting this resolved. I did not give the business 5 stars because I was brought into the patient room by a woman in a lab coat and high heels who did not introduce herself. Dr. Hutton and her entire office staff are just the most amazing people! My wife and I were in to see Dr. Hutton recently and everyone couldn't have been kinder. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Tammy who helped us quickly get through all the paperwork and in no time we were each shown to an exam room. Dr. Hutton came in just a few moments later and took such excellent care of me. She took the time to answer all of my questions and has an excellent "bedside" manner. Just after she left, her assistant, Christine, came in and followed up with everything and made sure that I was all taken care of. My wife loves Dr. Hutton as well! I'm relatively disappointed this time around, I've been going to Kathleen for years and she's always been the best. Still is very kind and sweet. However, this time around I took my mom, we both got Botox in the forehead and some filler, however, I got a cheaper filler than my mom and less Botox than her, but they charged us both 1100. I do not understand how we're are charged the same price for different services, especially when she is getting juvaderm filler and i was getting restalyn. Ultimately, it was a disappointment. I did not have good experiences with Dr. Hutton and her staff. I have seen a couple dermatologists here and they did not do a clean job removing my moles nor are they pleasant to deal with. They are always in a hurry, superficial and not caring. Instead of continuing with them, I asked around and found Dr. Aszterbaum. Dr. Aszterbaum is the best dermatologist I've been to. She removed several of my moles and stitches from the inside so I do not have scars. Dr. Hutton's and her staff, on the other hand, are incredibly sloppy. One of her dermatologists left a scar larger than an inch on my left breast. It looks like a centipede. I've had several moles removed and none look this bad. Email me if you would like to see a photo of the incision. p.s. Note how many positive reviews have been written after Dr. Hutton responded to my review. Either she is getting her friends to write reviews or pushing her clients to do so. Update: April 26, 2015 I would like to address Amy's statement about me. Her one is for Dr. Hutton. It's interesting that she has been Yelping since April 2015 and her profile shows that she lives in Newton Centre, MA. Dr. Hutton is in Newport Beach, CA. Also, Amy sent me a message stating that I am attempting to steal Dr. Hutton's clients. This is in no way true. I no longer live in Southern California and have not been in contact with Dr. Aszterbaum for years. The thing is, I really appreciate when Yelpers cross-reference businesses. If a business is not top-notch and a Yelper states that and references which business is, I am so very thankful. If you read through my reviews you will see that I rarely write bad reviews. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.... I went to Dr Hutton to get filler and Botox. I have had it done a few times with different dermatologists and I had average results. Dr Hutton made my face look so natural, it wasn't a dramatic difference, I just look refreshed and a tiny bit younger... unlike the other doctors I went to, there was absolutely no pressure to do anything other than what I wanted, she actually recommended less filler than I asked for. I asked about getting my lips done and she told me I didn't need it! She was very gentle with the needles, incredibly sweet and very thorough. I will definitely be back!! Hmm...my review from 2 years ago mysteriously disappeared. Well this was my experience with this Dr. and I think it's wrong for people to be able to pay to remove negative reviews. So, I am going to post it again! I came to Dr. Hutton in 2009 because I wanted to make sure my skin was perfectly clear for my wedding. I also wanted a mole removed. I filled out the paperwork stating these 2 things and was brought back to the examination room. After about 20 minutes, a Dr. in training came in for my consultation. I told her exactly this, "I have tried every type of OTC acne treatment as well as Retin A and a few other prescriptions. I want to try something new. Also, I want this mole removed." She wrote everything down and left to get Dr. Hutton. Another 20 minutes went by and the Dr. came in. She did a quick once over to check for any signs of skin cancer. Then she handed me a tube of benzoyl peroxide and a ton of her own brand of skin products. I was shocked! I can buy Clearasil at RiteAid...that's not what I wanted! Plus, I thought she would have asked me about my past experiences with different treatments instead ofjust handing me random products. She left and I waited in the room for her to return to remove my mole. I waited...and waited...and waited. Finally I opened the door and a nurse said "Oh, you're still in there? You can get dressed now." I said "No, I am waiting to get a mole removed." She looked confused and I said "Can you get the Dr for me please?" Dr. Hutton returned and looked confused as well. I said "Maybe the trainee didn't tell you, I wanted this mole removed." She looked at her paperwork and said "Oh, I didn't see that. I'll be back." I waited and waited and finally she returned to remove the mole. The only reason I am giving her 2 stars instead of 1 is because the mole removal didn't hurt at all. So, my experience wasn't as pleasant as everyone else's. I wish she would have given me a better consultation instead of running off to see other patients. Oh, and I bought her $50 tinted sunscreen. I would give that product a negative 10 stars if I could. It's incredibly thick and makes your skin feel very heavy. The color is also too pink and makes you look like a 7th grader who doesn't know how to choose her foundation color correctly. read more

During that time the lab work bill was sent to collections and my current bill with the Dr. is marked "final notice" - 121+ days past due. $13.84. Turns out that they sent the previous invoices (and gave the wrong info to the lab) to an address I had 10 years prior. Just had my yearly appointment with Dr. Kathleen Hutton. I have been a patient of hers for almost 15 years and have never had anything but a positive experience with her or her staff and decided to let others know too. I am actually quite shocked to see that some people appear to just want to complain- which is sad. The reason they may have had to wait sometimes is because Dr. Hutton is worth the wait! (However I had a 10 am appointment that included a very thorough skin evaluation and I was back in my car before 10:45.) I would highly recommended her to any friend or family member. Dr. Hutton is an extremely pleasant and professional doctor. She gives you all of her attention during your visit and it feels like you are chatting with a friend. My children have also been clients and I would recommend that you form your own opinions of this very kind and talented doctor. I have seen Dr Hutton twice now. I decided to switch after visiting the same dermatologist for approximately 15 years, primarily for annual skin checks. I was skeptical of my previous provider's quickness to perform what I thought unnecessary "surgical" procedures on slightly abnormal biopsies. I have yet to have Dr Hutton suggest surgery. I have complete confidence in her thorough skin assessment and she is quick to freeze or shave off spots that bother me and may be potential risky spots. I have recommended her to several people and love her products. She and her office staff are very professional and approachable.
