There is an area for learning with some air plane wings and a place to sit and chill. Walk a bit further and there is a waterfall. Wasn't moving a lot of water the day we went, but it was still a good photo. We walked out a bit further and didn't see anything more but an open path for walking. It was nice to be out in the fresh air and walk for a bit.

The main falls area is best enjoyed in the early morning when there isn't a drought of any severity, as it dries up pretty easily. You'll hear lots of planes on the nearby airbase but it's only annoying if you don't live around here. Before the pandemic, this place was a true hidden gem but it has become more crowded since then, even with the world's tiniest and easily missed parking lot acting as population control. I'll always love this park and going for photo ops but I miss when it was overlooked.

The last few times I visited during weekends or holidays, it was pretty crowded with teenagers running around and a lot more activity. But this time it was quiet and you could hear the birds, so peaceful. Everyone around the trail was very respectful. There were people cycling, walking their dogs, hiking, and just enjoying the outdoors. I also love that there are different trail options depending on how long or challenging you want your walk to be. There's a nice mix of uphill and downhill sections, which makes it even better. Plus, the nearby dam area is perfect for taking a break and cooling down. One thing I really appreciated this visit was how clean everything looked. Previously, I had noticed quite a bit of littering, especially broken glass bottles, which can be really dangerous for dogs. Thankfully, this time around the trail looked much cleaner and better maintained.

It's a little bit of a windy road to get to it if you go to the back way like I did. There is some beautiful views of the lake on a couple of the terms you also might want to take a nap because my granddaughter and I almost got lost. She also tried to kill me by forcing me up this very steep hill. All in all, it's a great place and I can't wait to return. This time of year is great for watching the sunset.

The trails are rocky & hilly, so if you are hiking, do so in good shoes. I kept slipping in my regular gym shoes, but it was pretty and fun. We didn't stay very long because we came during the latter part of the day. It was our first time here and since we are unfamiliar with the trails, we didn't want to get "lost." We will definitely be back to explore this park more.

There's a large soccer goal, a small playground, picnic tables and a winding path that surrounds the park. There's also a free library. I forgot to mention there are benches along the way too. This park is very popular. Soccer practice is held here. Soccer Moms are waiting for their kids to finish, in their top of the line Suv's or cars. A few dog walkers and some kids at the playground. It's also great place for pictures and you can appreciation the artitecture of the homes too. Crowd is reserved and it would be nice if they had a porta potty. Area can be busy with traffic. Its so easy to get to, right off White Settlement and Isbell Road. The few times I've been here a picnic table was available. Unfortunately, their was trash around the picnic table and the trash can was full. Porta potty was available and had toilet paper and it wasn't the cheap kind! It may have been Charmin Ultra Soft. Lol. Trails are endless with numerous possibilities of discoveries.. However, you will run into some poo along the trails. The poo is bad. Its hard to figure out what animal poos like that. Smh. Maybe, they should rename the park and call it the Poo Trails. Lol. This is a great location for photos. The park also has a water fountain for you and your dog. There's a misting fan available and a place to park your bike. Bikers and walkers are seen at this park. If you can overlook the poo and trash, I think you will enjoy this park.

I was super impressed with this park! There's a gate to the entrance, which is open as of right now…read more8-8pm(sunset). After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!

Needed a mental health day, so I decided to check out four city parks. This was the first one I…read morevisited. There were quite a few people out enjoying this neighborhood park. One of which I had a run-in concerning his dog, which wasn't on a leash. This was in clear violation with posted rules and an infraction of city ordinance. Realizing I wasn't messing around, he quickly placed the dog on the bench next to him. Wise choice! One lady, who had her kids out playing in the kid's area, quickly thanked me. Beyond the incident, I actually enjoyed the park. It is bigger than it looks and offers quite a bit for those who choose to come out here. Other than needing a mowing, I thought the park was well-maintained and fairly clean. Definitely a win for me as I take on the day.

It has a grassy area for them to run around in too. Only downside is street parking that can be a pain, there's no parking lot. But you can always park at Roy Pope to grab a coffee & walk over to the park after!
