Having enjoyed the chicken samosa that I had last week so much I decided to pop back yesterday to get a couple more.
In the heated cabinet with them were a couple more tasty looking treats,I asked the guy serving me what they were. "Those are chicken curry pasties, and those are kebab rolls" he answered.
I decided on a samosa,a pasty and a kebab roll, being intriqued by the words kabab and roll. The samosa was every bit as nice as my previous ones, but, and this is where the extra star comes in,the pasty was really nice. As you would imagine from a bakers of Asian origin, the curry inside was quality! plenty of chicken, enough spice and a really nice but subtle hint of aniseed.Yum!
The kebab roll was just that,a kebab roll. Think sausage roll, only instead of the mystery mush you get in the middle of a Greggs sausage roll, this little beauty was filled with a seek kebab, yep, that's right,a seek kebab! I am a big fan of the seek kebab, probably more so than the classic donner,so to be presented one lovingly encased in yummy puff pastry was a treat indeed. And as with the samosa and pasty it was gorgeous!!
I REALLY like this place....... read more
