From an employee standpoint, I feel called to post as I had spent 5 years helping Kari build her business. Through the height of refinances and the lul of the last 3 years, I was there by her side. After 5 years, I decided it was time to move on and gave both Kari and Cody ample notice. The amount of retaliation and gaslighting that ensued was horrifying, even after I extended my final date, per Kari and Cody's request, to assist in transition. After multiple nasty texts from Kari on my last day she had confirmed she would not be paying me my agreed upon and earned commission, which is a significant amount. Unfortunately, this isn't new for Kari and is not the first time she hasn't paid an employee for their work. Unfortunately, she chose to end our relationship on a poor note, after 5 years. Kari and her team at Guaranteed Rate were phenomenal in supporting us with our refinance. We had looked multiple times at refinancing with several brokers who had great recommendations. With all the other brokers, they said we were too far into the loan to make it worthwhile. Kari was able to save us over $300/mo which adds up to a substantial amount over the remainder of the loan. In addition to the savings, we loved the ease and transparency of the process. Everything was done online and we could always see what step we were at in the process. From an employee's prospective: unfortunately I feel the urge to leave this review due to a personal experience I have had with Kari as I was working under her in the Las Vegas branch. After about 2 years of working for her and this company bringing in a good amount of business before the recent rate spike causing the market to become almost impossible to navigate a mortgage loan. At this time I have had Kari help me with a family loan and we pushed it through. Foooof great news! Very excited to be able to put some food on the table finally and cash a small check.
