Karen is amazing. I enjoyed meeting her & she is extremely gifted. She is a 5 star experience

I have wanted to go for a reading for a while, but was nervous. I am so happy I went to Karen. She was very comforting, gifted, and offered me a lot of clarity with some things I was struggling through. I would recommend to anyone and will return again someday! read more

I had a reading with Karen today. She was able to contact a very dear friend that passed away. I was nervous about the reading because I had read some negative reviews on her. I was very happy to find a friendly down to earth person on the other line. I gave her the person'a first name and I was amazed at all the information she was able to give me that was real and would only be known to me. Talking to her gave me a sense of closure and reassurance. I definitely recommend a reading with her. If you are looking to contact a person that has passed, and you hope there is more out there , after your reading you will believe. She made me a believer! I have to add this! Karen told me my friend mentioned a woman named Rose that came to meet him when he passed. Today, I spoke with my friend's brother and he confirmed they had a great aunt named Rose that died a long time ago. This really validated everything else for me. Amazing! God bless you Karen, you are gifted. read more

I had a medium reading with Karen and I highly recommend her. From the beginning she makes you feel relaxed, I was a bit anxious which quickly went away. I was there in the hopes that my spouse would come through and I know that it was him speaking to Karen or she speaking to him. The things we covered/talked about there is no way she knew these things without talking to his spirit. I left the session feeling lighter knowing that my spouse's spirit is still with me. I am truly grateful for her gifts, her compassion and her professionalism. I will be returning to see her in the future. Thank you Karen read more

I've been involved in one other Psychic/Medium event in the past - a seminar with about 100 people in the room, and witnessed my friend's "reading". Knowing my friend, I knew this was legit. Fast forward 6 or 7 years and I was given Karen's name by another friend of mine. I've always been interested in a personal reading and Karen was both close by and not outrageously expensive, so I decided to give it a try. I was blown away. "Blown away" does not even really describe it. Karen quickly shared information about me that was not public knowledge. She would mention a word or a phrase, or ask a question, that led me to believe that she was actually able to see within me. At two separate times, she literally read my mind - answering questions that I had just thought to myself, as if I had spoken the words out loud. I won't go into her methods or any of the information she shared with me, but I am a believer. I am giving her 4 stars for now as I'd like to see how accurate her predictions were. I do hope to go back to her the next few months to a year to see if/how things are changing, and I will update my review at that time. read more

What a wonderful experience! Exactly what I needed! Extremely accurate.! Karen is an amazing, beautiful, soul, with the GIFT! read more

Didn't speak to the question I asked about and gave vague generalities about a topic she seemed to have a preset agenda for. No insights gained and she when I told her what she was saying was inaccurate, she simply got defensive. Maybe she has better days but if she wasn't feeling it then it would have been more ethical to reschedule rather than go forward. Wish I had known about her policy of being able to cancel after 5 minutes if it didn't seem to be working... Her response was more bs, indicating I wasn't being truthful because I currently live in TN??? I lived in Oakland when you pulled your scam, ma'am. read more

I went to Karen during a very difficult period. Not only was she accurate in describing my situation, she gave me insight I did not have that later proved to be true. Furthermore, she generously shared similar personal experiences that helped me. One thing I have to share- she was able to communicate with my grandfather. I did not ask her to nor did I come in with any expectation. I wasn't even particularly close to my grandfather but he wanted to communicate something to me. When Karen said what his message was, it's one of those goosebump moments I will never forget. read more

An absolute NIGHTMARE of a human! TOTAL FRAUD! Booked spot with husband for myself and my gf. He said to me after giving my name " welcome back" (apparently went to her once before)(had no recollection) should have hung up there... then he asked for my friends name .. told him her first and TOLD him didn't want to give second name! He laughed and made a comment " oooh hunny Karen doesn't have time to google people" " but it's ok I'll put YOUR last name" Well our appt comes I was 5 min late apologized profusely ( gps and I were dyslexic) she starts with small talk then asks about my " friend" ooh is she your sister? Or family member? I said no she's my friend... she says " with the same last name?" I said no ... I chose not to give her last name".... THAT WAS IT! She blew up and started her ranting... " YOU THINK IM A FRAUD?" YOU THINK IM NOT REAL?" "THIS IS BULLSHIT" I sat there letting her continue ... it almost pissed her off more... she continues on about how I think She's a fraud not giving my friends last name! REALLY?? I Explained that her husband was aware of me not revealing my friends true identity... he was fine... WHY WASNT SHE? Hmmm cause she's a FRAUD! Walked out told her F&$@ OFF!! Oh and now she actually went in to my business and did a false review as she was NEVER at my spa! Told y'all she's a LIAR read more

I have had a private reading with Karen and then went to a group reading at a hotel in Cromwell, just to see if what I initially felt was true. I am convinced that she is totally fake. In my private reading, she brought up a man that had recently died, who happened to have been all over my Facebook page. When I called for my appointment I didn't want to give my whole name for that very reason, but her husband, who makes all of her appointments, said that he has to have the full name and that "Karen has no time to look on Facebook." Right after she was done describing the man who has pictures all over my Facebook page, she had nothing left and then went into some sort of psychic reading with Tarot cards and I got nothing out of it whatsoever. I decided to give her one more chance and went to the group reading in Cromwell. It was absolutely cringeable about how fake everything was. I wonder if they were a couple of plants in the audience as two women were weeping, but other than that everything was wrong including every name, dead people were "showing her" bowling balls and golf clubs, (all things that our dead parents might have done) And mostly no one in the audience could relate to anything. She had another "medium" with her and they would take turns "finding people" And delivering messages but honestly, everything was very pathetic and forced. I overheard a lot of angry people leaving at the end and saying how they had just wasted $50. I didn't feel I wasted it because I learned a lot about how these people are able to convince people that they are real and how sad it is. I don't know if mediums are real or not but I know that this one isn't. As Oprah says, "this I know for sure." I just read Karen's response and I have NEVER used the term "fundamentalist atheist" in my life. I probably described myself as an agnostic as that is what I am. I am definitely not an atheist as that is someone who is sure there is no God. I lean toward a belief in a higher power but I always say that "none of us can really be sure until we die." I did not write this review to be a "hater" and I'm not angry at all. I just felt it was fair to others to give my perspective. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I had a reading with Karen yesterday, and she truly deserves a 5-star review. She is deeply compassionate, empathic, intuitive, and spot-on. I always go into psychic readings sort of unsure of what to expect, especially whether the person is truly gifted and intuitive. Within a few minutes of meeting with Karen, she was so accurate, I knew she was the real deal. I think what most impressed me about her is how much she cared, and then directed the reading to what answers I was seeking. She was incredibly thorough, and really got to the depth of what I was seeking. Karen is a master at what she does! read more

I've gotten readings before that felt hazy or "unclean," but my experience with Karen felt incisive, direct, and very intuitive - and I highly recommend to anyone suffering from a longstanding issue, is seeking resolution, and has been on-the-fence about such things to give it a try with an open heart. read more

After reading the yelp reviews I agree probably a fraud got nothing out of it I had many young people die and surprisingly no one came thru my father did and guess what he had to say hi I'm okay thanks for taking care of your mom really ! **You must have a credit card to make an appointment by the phone even if you're going to pay in cash at the appointment.** My friend and I were interested in getting readings done for the first time. I inquired for the both of us. A fifty minute reading is $120. We were both interested in putting our money together and splitting the price. The appointments and times were all set up but you must have a credit card to make an appointment. Which I'm still confused about. I'm not sure if they charge your card upon arrival or after your services but either way, I wouldn't want anybody with my CC info Both my friend and I were interested in paying in cash so this didn't work out. Karen's husband is the person that takes all of her calls. He became pretty inpatient with me. I've never had a reading done so I was unsure of what to expect and how to go about it. He hung up once I told him I didn't have credit card and wanted to pay with cash. Too bad, but we were pretty much forced to take our business elsewhere. ** updated response: Karen's husband did not explain this policy to me. Instead, he sighed and became very impatient and hung up. I understand that companies require a credit card beforehand but however, I'm not asking Karen for a car or any of the other things she's listed. If her husband had explained the policy better, maybe we would've found a way to work with the policy. My 1 star rating stands based off customer service.** ** second updated response: Since Karen is still going on with my review MONTHS after the original posting... as if my review is the only one that stands for her business, I'm compelled to respond. Any adult would know that when you rent a car, the car rental service mostly asks for your CC INFO, before releasing the car to you. Your analogy on the hotel was completely unnecessary, so you got an unnecessary, and unwanted analogy back. I'm very happy that my friend and I decided to take our business elsewhere. Karen seems like a very immature and hostile person. My review STILL stands. read more

My reading with Karen was incredible. I have not stopped thinking about the things she had told me. She was SPOT ON with information as soon as I sat down, and continued to blow my mind through out the session. I went there hoping I would get answers regarding certain topics I was worried about, and she answered my questions without me asking them out loud. When I booked my appointment, Karen's husband was very kind and courteous over the phone (and made me laugh several times). I felt extremely comfortable in Karen's office, and I cannot wait to schedule my next reading with her. This was my first meeting with a psychic medium, and I am 100% pleased. Karen is most definitively the real deal. read more

I've been going to Karen for readings for a few years now. I'm surprised it took me so long to leave a review. I've done my fair share of going to different psychics not only in CT, but all over the country. I have to say this woman is the real deal. The first time i met her I knew not to say much to see what she could come up with. I threw out some names and D.O.B's and I told her to have at it. I was BLOWN away by the specific and accurate information she knew on these individuals as well as myself. i knew right there she was legit. I remember arguing her on a date multiple time emailing her about not being accurate on something and she stuck to her guns and sure enough a year later she was on the dot with a month. She's def worth the time and money. I've sent so many people to her and they came back really happy. Happy Readings!!!! read more

As soon as my grandmother and I walked in we where greeted with an angry presents. Karen proceeded to tell us we made three appointment when we only made two and said we would have to pay anyway. Then she proceeded to greet us with a very very rude attitude and attracted my poor grandmother who was just there for me. She was overall very angry because her husband messed up on how many appointments we made and i also used my mother Madden last name as my last name. My grandmother had talked to the husband earlier and he said that people have done this before and that it was ok. I only did this because I am very skeptical of whether or not mediums in general are real and was hopping for a change. She put words into our mouths saying that we think she's fake and don't trust her. She was so angry and "appalled" that we did this and asked us if we would do this to doctors. Her body language was very vicious towards us while we stayed calm and tried to talk to her about it. All we wanted was a blank slate when we walked in because of all the things you can find on the internet today with just someone's name. This experience was just crazy and I wish I had it on video for you all to see. Maybe she was just having a bad day we all have them! #sorrygrandma Responds to her answer- we used the name David Bc my brother was going to come with us but got to creeped out. She responded to this by saying "What's my head gonna spin around or something." This was ruin and Not needed as this is a very emotional thing for some to have to do. Also my grandmother is a parents figure to me and would be able to sign for me as it says in her online site. One more thing you did not kick us we left because we where so appalled over your attitude-over using a different last name other wise known as "lying." Thank you blessings brooke read more

Karen has been a great help in clarifying issues and her readings have been very accurate.

I have been a client of Karen's for 9 years. She has helped me with job changes, family concerns and relationships. Her readings are accurate. I have recommended her to many people. From a past reading a few years ago, During the reading, Karen said, I was moving. I said, I have no plans to move. She said, I was moving. I thought, what is that about. Maybe a week later, my then teenager daughter said, Mom, I want to move Nimmy (our horse) to another stable. So we moved the horse from the barn she had lived for 7 years to a new barn. It was a really good move for the horse and my daughter. And moving my horse, all of her stuff and my daughters things was moving a small apartment. I would highly recommend contacting Karen. read more

I had no expectations when I went to see Karen. I had been to many mediums before, most of them good. Karen was phenomenal!! I felt like my parents were right in the room with me. I left feeling so good. The only reason I didn't give her 5 stars is that she does not allow audio taping of the session. I have found that with previous taped readings I could go back and listen again and pick up on things I had missed. With all the info coming to you it is easy to forget things. I am looking forward to seeing Karen again. read more

Karen Hollis is a compassionate, remarkably accurate intuitive/medium. She is a rare gem in her profession, maintaining high ethical standards and always treating clients and colleagues with respect. She honors the integrity of of many spiritual traditions and aptly reads the cards for people from all walks of life. I was thrilled to have been assigned to interview her for a magazine, mystified by the reading she gave and grateful for opening my mind and heart to the wisdom revealed in the reading. All of this from someone who had never had a truly professional reading and who had no idea what to expect. And that's what a reading by Karen offers you-- the unexpected, but certainly what Spirit needs for you realize you already knew deep in your own heart. I had high hopes considering the wonderful reviews, but it was admittedly an experience I wish I hadn't had. I knew within the first few minutes of the reading that most of what she was saying was completely inaccurate (mind you, I'm a believer!). I felt half of the session was receiving advice and the other half was spent on a subject that I was entirely disinterested in. Her husband books the appointments and he's very helpful and pleasant. Karen is also very inviting and friendly, but I'd save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I was left waiting .... 40 minutes into my appointment apparently is an okay amount of time to make me wait, I was then made to feel like I was wrong for being annoyed for being made to wait so long. 5,10 maybe even 15 minutes but really, 40? If I had been that late I would have been charged and probably been sent on my way. read more

I have been going back and forth about whether or not to leave an honest review. This is due to the fact that Karen seems to dispute anyone's comments that are less than flattering on here, almost as to depict the client as dishonest or mistaken. However, for the benefit of others, I feel that it is necessary that I leave an accurate depiction of my experience. I did extensive combing of reviews and information on Karen, and was very hopeful and excited about my mediumship appointment. I am a strong believer in the supernatural and the fact that psychic abilities exist. However, from the moment I sat down, she was inaccurate. I sat down and she told me that a male and female presence stepped forward. I gave her the birthdate of my grandmother who was born in 1930. It was as if she took a stereotype of a housewife from my grandmothers time period and pushed it on me. She kept saying "she was a woman of her time," which was inaccurate. She stated that she loved to cook and left her recipes to me. Nope. She stated that she passed from something of the legs. Nope. She stated that I had her earrings. Nope. She stated that she wore lavender perfume. Nope. She stated that I was a tom boy and that I loved to run. 100% nope. I almost felt bad, and tried to make far fetched connections to try and make it less awkward. To divert, she kept intertwining different decks of tarot cards. She would say things like "we aren't hanging up on her but let's do this." She never mentioned the male figure to me again that supposedly stepped forward. Also, she mentioned monetary amounts that she had saved for her daughters college fund which I found tacky and inappropriate. I think she's a great business woman, but I do not feel that she has any psychic abilities. I felt upset and disturbed leaving. It almost felt like my loss of a loved one was taken advantage of. I can see how her practices make a lot of people buy into what she is saying, but I think it's a performance. I study human behavior for a living, and I didn't like what I experienced, at all. Again, I was polite and tried to not let on how disappointed i was, which I'm sure she will point out in her reply to this review. You don't have to believe what Im saying but as a believer, this is the truth of my experience. read more

My good friend went to see Karen shortly after her mother passed last year. She had nothing but wonderful things to say about it! A year later my friend asked if I'd like to join her in a group session at a local hotel. She got her mother in law a ticket and a fellow co-worker a ticket as well. Right before the day of the group session the co-worker was unable to attend so my mom came along, unregistered and very much last minute. My mom's name was only given about 20 minutes prior to the session starting. As soon as Karen started my father came right through to her, we identified him by the unique descriptions she gave. She moved on after some time, reading other people, but soon started talking about a woman. This time it started off sounding like my grandmother, my mom's mom, and after some other descriptions it very much seemed like my grandmother came through as well. After intermission, close towards the end of the session my cousin came through. I couldn't believe it at first because we had already had 2 loved ones come forward. But it did end up being my late cousin. There were just so many small details that no one would know that made us know that it was them. I did book a solo appointment with Karen a few months after and was not disappointed. My father came through again with a lot more to say to me, before it was mostly to my mom. I did ask about my best friend that I lost 5 years ago, now in life she was very shy and she continues to be after passing. Karen asked for her to come forward and used her cards to call for her. And just like my friend in life, once she started she didn't stop! She had a lot to say and knew so many teeny tiny details that you'd have to have been there to know. I was very very impressed with Karen and my session. I highly recommend her to anyone in the market for readings. I had a great experience and do plan to go again in the future. read more

I went to see Karen back in March of 2015. She was nice and friendly. She read my palm and I thought some of the things she was telling me was kind of accurate, but at the same time anyone could guess that too. You know everyone struggles everyone has good times as well as bad. I was in search of information regarding employment. To be more to the point I need a job and asked when I would obtain one and where would it be. She told me that I would get work May 25 2015 and that a person with the name of Peg or Peggy would have something to do with it. Well May 25 came and went and I never met Peg or Peggy. So take this with a grain of salt and do it as something fun, don't take it seriously because it is all very vague. read more

This was my very first reading and I did enough research about Karen before booking an appointment. I had rough few months which impacted my sleep, health, family and work life. I was constantly looking for a positive sign and struggling to believe everything happens for a reason. I was emotional and not in a good place when I reached for my appointment but I had an open mind about her services and abilities. Karen is kind, good listener and definitely gifted. She told me certain information very few people have known about it. She also made some predictions about future ,some of them already came true. She gave me something to look forward too and peace of mind I was looking for. If you are anything like me and struggling to overcome emotions you are feeling or some negative thoughts impacting you life daily do yourself a favor and see her. Before I met her I was always thinking, what if she couldn't answer my questions, what if nothing going to change, what if I come out unsatisfied and lost. The amount I spent to see her was investment in myself and I wish I have met her sooner. Thank you Karen for your time and service. read more

This is my second time seeing Karen. The first time I was absolutely blown away with information she revealed to me that was so true in my life. I have to be honest I was a little skeptical at first not ever been to a medium before but clearly at the end of our visit I was pleasantly surprised and happy. I went back today again skeptical thinking she's not going to be spot on like she was the first time. To my surprise and pleasantry She was again spot on. There are things she is going to say that mean nothing or have any relevance to your life which I feel is very normal. Certain instances objects feelings that she says to you there is no way anyone could make them up or take a chance. They are personal and true to what she is saying. I highly highly recommend readings by Karen. She is the most inviting warm sweet caring person Who I feel so comfortable with when I am there. Thank you Karen till the next time we meet. read more
