This is a update of my last review Ive been going to see Dr Kennedy since 2019 wait times these days are a mute point with me some appointments were faster than others since the influx of more people moving in to the areas and not enough doctors it's happening everywhere. Starting in Jan 2024 I made an appt for my annual check up with Dr Kennedy's office for my hyperplasia but as the months past my appt kept being pushed to a future date I was told Dr Kennedy couldn't see me or I had to reschedule. I was starting to feel like I was getting the run around when I was told Dr Kennedy would only see pregnant women I didn't even know she saw pregnant women so this was a surprise those of non barring status would be seeing the NP it was Oct by then I didn't want to see a NP I wanted to see Dr Kennedy since she knew my history with my hyperplasia and I trusted her. Sadly I ended up cancelling my appointment and found another OBGYN doctor in Pensacola at the Women Center I'm still with Baptist and I love Baptist patient Portal. I later found out Dr Kennedy doesn't see pregnant women I don't know why I was told the opposite by her team but I have a new wonderful GYN doctor who's taking excellent care of me. read more

Years ago she demanded that I get a mammogram because I haven't had one. I didn't go there for any complaints or problems. I don't have a family history of cancer or breast cancer. I said I would get a said well typically doesn't cover that. I said that's fine. She sent me a letter in the mail firing me as a patient, but that's OK because I was not going back. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. As a new patient, they request you fill out paperwork online. If not, show up 30 min PRIOR to your app, which is rather standard. I filled out all paperwork online, my app was at 0915 and I showed up at 0900. The front desk lady asked me to fill out a few more pages, and my finish time for that was exactly 0915. At 0930, I still had not been seen or spoken to, so I asked the front desk lady why. Her response was "the first 30 min of your appointment time is you filling out paperwork." Per their policy, they specifically say 30 PRIOR to your appointment. I told the woman this and she says "well Dr Kennedy is always behind. You should be seen by 0945." Mind you, this is 30 min AFTER my initial appointment time. At 0945, the health tech s me back and takes my vitals and puts me in the room. At 0951 she is finished and says Dr will be in shortly. After 40 min of sitting in the room without anyone checking on me or giving me any notice, I was fed up and walked out. On my way out that same tech says "ready to check out?" I told her I had not even seen the Dr so there was no reason to "check out". They did not apologize, they did not offer to ask the Dr when she would be in, they did nothing to rectify the situation. I wasted an hour and a half on my ass PAST my appointment time to see this Dr and not once did I get to. If I were to be 90+ min late to their appointment, you bet your ass they would of canceled mine and charged me $150+ for a missed appointment. SO IF YOU LIKE TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. read more

My first experience with this clinic and I was disappointed that the office is run much like what shown on the Yelp reviews. I arrived at 9:15, thirty minutes early for a 9:45 appointment to complete paperwork. The paperwork took 5 minutes max. At 9:50, I asked when I would be seeing the doctor as I was still in the waiting room which was virtually empty. The receptionist stated she would check; she came back approximately 10 minutes later and said I could move to a room and the doctor would see me in 30-45 minutes. At this point, I had been in the office for an hour and was being told I MIGHT see the doctors in 30-45 minutes. The receptionist could not confirm that or guarantee it. Because I work for a living, this appointment had already eaten up 2 hours with appointment and drive time, I couldn't afford another 1+ hours. I asked to reschedule to the first appointment of the day. The receptionist offered another 9:45 appointment. I reiterated first appointment in the morning. If this doctor is notoriously late, I want to be there at starting time. I have a new appointment a 7 weeks from now. Thank goodness this isn't urgent! My follow up comments will be added after the next appointment. I really hope it was a bad day and I'll be seen in a reasonable time. Or I can only assume this is an insurance game to get as many patients in as possible and not manage time sufficiently, thus providing terrible customer experience and care. Stay tuned! read more

Almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone, and then I got charged a missed appointment fee because I could not get someone to answer the phone or call me back to tell me when my appointment was. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes past your appointment time to be seen too. When I tried to bring up my concerns about having PCOS I was told not to worry about it because I wasn't trying to have kids currently. Seems like this practice cares more about pushing vanity services than actually helping people. read more

This is the worst medical practice ever. One of the office staff treated my wife terribly over the phone and my wife never lost her cool or composure when the receptionist was extremely rude, unhelpful and insulting. The next day Karen (aptly named) left my wife a voicemail to let her know she would not see her anymore. If I could rate this dumpster fire of a practice negative 100000000 stars I would. Shame on you for allowing your office staff to treat a patient like that and then not giving the patient the benefit of the doubt before discontinuing treatment. Now my wife will have to search for a new doctor and spend thousands of dollars to get her same tests again elsewhere. Good riddance Karen. I went (First ever time going to an OB) two years ago because I was in excruciating pain in my pelvis. Lauren the assistant was lovely unfortunately no one else was. Dr. Kennedy came in and did an ultrasound, once she was done she said and I quote "Well you have a large tumor on your ovary, you'll need surgery to remove it. I'll send you next door to get your bloodwork done and then we will schedule it. Any questions?" LIKE WHAT!? Zero explanation or waiting til I sat up, just took the device out blurted out those few sentences then stared at me looking like she has other places to be. I ended up having to have my ovary and fallopian tube removed. I went back a year later for a check up and expressed how I still feel pain and wanted to know if it was normal and that I've also noticed that I've put on weight and cant seem to shed it, and that my sex drive had been non existent since the surgery, and was curious if it had to do with not having both ovaries. The Assistant looked at me and said "It has nothing to do with that, I used to starve myself and that worked well to lose weight maybe you should try that. You don't have a sex drive because you're overweight and unhappy with yourself. " She then told me I should get a few tests done and assured me that my insurance covers it.... welp it didn't and I got a bill for 300$ so I cancelled my next appointment and then they charged me 50$ for cancelling!!! Literally worse place to go. I'm glad I didn't die in surgery but holy cow those people are terrible!! read more

Do not go here. I saw her last year for perimenopause. I had hot flashes, Missed a few months of my period, gained 10lbs overnight basically (didn't change anything). I had bloodwork and a mammogram done- Routine for getting on hormones. I am very low on everything according to the bloodwork. This woman gave me 200mg of progesterone. That's it. She sent me from 0-200 .. the side effects were awful. I literally took 2 Of the pills and said no thank you, wasn't worth it. I sought out my own HRT (thrive which I highly recommend)- they started me on a much lower dose than 200mg!! This "doctor" obviously doesn't know squat about HRT even though she is of the age and a Gyno! I was charged other misc charges (self pay) as well. Secondly, I called in for a rx for flucozanole- I had a yeast infection after antibiotics. They refused me an rx unless I made a 130$ appt Honestly- she should be shit down- doctors like this make me hate the medical community. Shame on you! Would give 0 if possible! read more

Evidently Dr. Kennedy has decided that she doesn't want to work with senior citizens. Her office does not accept any Medicare related insurances, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Didn't find this out until we showed up at the office this morning even though as a previous patient our medical insurance was in their system and easily accessible. Just a word of warning, if you're her patient and are nearing retirement age, she'll drop you like a hot rock when you turn sixty five. read more

I've been a patient for 10 years & have never been late or cancelled an appointment. I had an appointment this week which I made only 2 days prior (for 7:30 am). I woke up at 4 am that morning throwing up profusely so I had to cancel. I left them a voicemail at 5am. Just found out they still charged me! Not to mention that she wanted me to have an ovary removed, but I asked for an MRI & it came back completely normal! I will not be going back ever again. read more

I would never recommend anyone go to Dr Kennedy if 0 were a rating that is what I would give. I wish I had read the reviews. She performs unnecessary test and procedures. I went to get my Essure device removed because I was having pain. She said she could remove them however when I went for pre-op I was told my tubes would be removed. I had an appointment with her to discuss this before surgery and told her this was not something I wanted to do. She then told me it was the only way she could remove the device. Come day of surgery it was not the Essure device but the Filshie clips which are on the outside of my tubes. One of the clips were no longer attached which is more than likely what was causing my pain. My first response was excitement. I then stated "Then that means you did not have to remove my tubes" to which her response was "I removed them anyway." To say the shock and depression I feel is an under statement. There are so many more things that went wrong with this doctor, from improper medication to lab test being done wrong to name a few all I can say is RUN!!!! read more

I hadn't read the reviews on Dr. Kennedy, I scheduled an appointment back in August for September. I was told that she was very packed and couldn't see me for over 30 days. The representative who took my information was very rude, she rushed the entire process of trying to set up my appointment and seemed more concerned with what type of insurance I had rather than hear my concerns of why I wanted to be seen. The representative advised it would be a few weeks before my appointment but stressed the fact that I needed to show up at least 30 minutes early for the appointment. I had the strangest feeling that I wouldn't enjoy having her as a doctor considering her staff seemed very rude. So the day before I cancelled the appointment. I went to see Dr.Kennedy because of her "holistic" approach, per her billboard, which was actually not the case. After a pap and no real finding as to why my problem persisted she threw out there hysterectomy as one of the solutions as well as hormone BC. This is farthest from holistic as you can be. The nurses there were stand off-ish. As a self pay I covered all of the visits before leaving the office. Somehow I still got another bill in the mail after. I would give this place a negative one million if I could. I'm 19 years old and I've been coming to see Dr. Kennedy for maybe two years now. This place is absolutely awful and I do not recommend it to anyone. I am currently sitting in their exam room like I have been for the past hour. Today I had to get checked for cervical cancer since it runs in the family. First off, they were going to give me a pap-smear(you have to be 21 to get a pap-smear unless it's emergent). I had to remind them I was 19. Second off, Dr.Kennedy came in here for maybe 2 minutes and basically told me don't drink soda and workout everyday. Great! I could have told you that. One of my last appointments I came in for a basic checkup and to see if I'm in good health. I ended up finding out I tested positive for an STD. I was scared because that was all new to me and they didn't say anything comforting. At this time I was 18. The nurse or assistant then full on called me a "whore". Long story short that "Positive" test result was actually a false positive. I was livid. The only woman I have ever respected at this place is Laura Hall. She was amazing and the kind of person I would trust looking at my body. Also, my grandmother normally pays for all my appointments and with my insurance it doesn't ever cover it so I always pay in full at the end of each appointment. I have received numerous letters in the mail trying to get me to pay for an appointment on a day that I didn't even have an appointment or anywhere close to an appointment. Anyways I'm just saying if you are thinking about sending your daughter to this place, coming from a daughter, don't do it. I feel so insecure after my visits to the OBGYN. If you are thinking of scheduling an appointment with this office, run the other way. The customer service is horrible. My daughter scheduled an appointment for a pap smear and was told her appointment was at 2:45pm. The day of the appointment, I received a phone call from Danielle asking if my daughter could be there at 2:15pm (and violated HIPPA policy in the process). I let her know that we would be running close because my daughter doesn't get off work until 1:30pm. We arrived at 2:20 and they refused to see her or reschedule the appointment. I worked in healthcare for 12 years and have never experienced a physician's office being so insensitive and unprofessional. I've never heard of a patient's appointment being canceled because they were "late" to fill out paperwork but still 25 minutes early for the appointment. My suggestion to Dr. Kennedy is to get a clear picture of how her staff treats the patients. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know not to use their office. And as for the office manager, Danielle, she should be terminated for her immature, sarcastic behavior. When I read other reviews complaining about waiting time I found it unreasonable to give a review based on that. Makes no sense to be in a rush when you go to see your Obgyn. Every one of us wants to feel attended on time, but what if during the visit you may have questions and concerns to address? Are you rushing to get out, and thinking that someone else is in the waiting room anxious to get in? I have been seeing Dr. K for over 4 years and she has great bedside manners, her staff is very friendly, and not to mention the fact that she is very knowledgeable. I have seen other Obgyns in other places and states, and it is very hard to find someone like her. I highly recommend her and please allow yourself 15 min/20 min waiting time. I saw Dr. Hall there, and she was great! After having a procedure done with her and results coming back negative, Kennedy took it upon herself to insist I have another unnecessary procedure done. I WALKED OUT - Was made to come in 30 minutes before my scheduled time, when my time to be seen came and I asked how long of a wait I'd have (since the lobby was full), I was told that the Dr. had 2 patients in rooms and a bunch of charts to update, so I'd have to wait a minimum of 45 minutes! Sorry Dr. Kennedy, our time is just as valuable as yours. I should have listened to the reviews, but since referred I thought the reviews were wrong. I have been with Dr Kennedy ever since we moved to the area over 15 years ago. I have found her to be very professional, caring and always willing to listen to and follow up on all my concerns. I know I will be in very good hands as I am getting older and could not wish for a better doctor. I don't know why these other women have had such difficulties. I have been a patient of Dr Kennedy's since about 2003, and I have been so impressed that I've referred my daughter, who loves her also. Yes there have been times that I have had to wait, but I do realize that emergencies come up... The staff has always been kind and courteous, willing to help in any way they can. I read a few negative reviews about Dr. K & shrugged them off. However, when I first saw her for my NP appt I quickly realized everyone's reviews are pretty accurate. The staff is very friendly, no complaints there. I was told to show up 30 mins prior to my appt to fill out paperwork, cool, got it. I work in the medical field so I understand. But waiting over an hour to be seen & be taken back into another room only to wait another 30 mins?! Ridiculous. On top of that, Dr. K is very impersonal, doesn't listen to your concerns, and only wants to shove gardisil & birth control at you. She also doesn't spend much time in the room with you (max of 10 mins.. maybe). It always feels like your appt is being rushed & that she has other things she'd rather be doing. As a patient it makes you feel like your problems/concerns are not being taken seriously & it's very frustrating. Especially when you spend that much time at her office... overall I'm very disappointed & will probably be finding a new Dr soon. read more

A month after of having my annual pap smear and breast exam they tried to charge me $165.20. I was surprised and asked the person at the front desk why? She told me my insurance company (Tricare Standard) won't pay for everything and there was a co-payment I was had to pay. Very politely I asked her why? I get this exam every year and I have never paid a dime. I asked her to see the invoice, but she said "I only have it here in my computer. If you can't afford it you can make monthly payments". I told her that I needed to call my insurance company and she said "You can pay now and fix it with them later" . I said no, I am going to call them and I will call you later if I have to pay anything. So we did. I called Tricare and they said that Dr. Kennedy submitted the bill to them with a procedure code for "Comprehensive Exam" instead of "Well Woman Checkup" . We called back to the doctor's office and they said "Oh ok sorry about that, we will fix it and resubmit" ! Can you believe that??? I will not trust this people again. See ya! read more
