Their only option available was to change instructors and schedule. There is a big instructor rotation, and zero follow up with the parents on the kid's progress. The school's interest is to keep the kids on the same level for as long as possible, up to a year or more, as told directly by the school's owner. This means they are neither learning new skills, nor working on the ones the kids need to improve. They also allow older kids to use the restrooms and showers of the opposite sex without a parent present. Nothing was done when both parents complained about this on several occasions. When we emailed the owner to express our dissatisfaction and submit our cancelation, as we couldn't see our kid's account on their app since they changed our scheduled, instead of receiving a confirmation from them, we got a call from the owner where she screaming said that this is the way she runs her school. Zero people skills and customer service. If you want to pay good money for your kid to play in the pool, this school is for you. If you are looking for a place where your kid can learn how to swim, be confident in the water, and you are concerned about their progress, find a different option.

We provided copies of our recent pay stubs as part of the process. Based on our income, we anticipated qualifying for assistance. However, we were informed that they do not accept back pay and that families must cover full tuition out-of-pocket until subsidy approval is finalized. In our case, the approval process took eight weeks. That would have required paying two months of tuition upfront while waiting for assistance. If a center works with YWCA-funded families regularly, it was unclear why no flexibility could be offered given the documented income information we provided. For many working families, paying full tuition for weeks -- or months -- while waiting on approval defeats the purpose of childcare assistance. Families relying on subsidy support should make sure they fully understand this policy before enrolling. To make a long story short if you can't afford the daycare tuition on your own, don't even apply.

My family moved to the area a few years ago and had been "Church shopping" for awhile since we…read moredidn't have a church in the area. We immediately felt welcome at Our Redeemer without being tackled by people recognizing us as guests. We joined the church as members about 2 1/2 years ago and have enjoyed meeting some great people. Out two children (5 & 7) do not attend the school since we live about 20 minutes away, but I would send them here if we lived closer. The kids do love the Sunday school program though. There are two types of services, traditional and contemporary. Services are at 8:00 and 10:30 and are traditional "order of worship" services except for the 8:00am services on the second and fourth Sundays, which are contemporary. Usually the 8:00 services are busier than the 10:30 services, but even at the 8:00 service, it's not crowded. Holidays do get pretty full, so try and come 15-20 minutes early. Otherwise, you can usually pull in around 5-10 minutes before the service starts and still comfortably get to your seats. Contemporary at the church is a few guitar players, piano, drums, and a half-dozen singers. The songs are very singable and not too "wild". Our family really likes the contemporary services, and I find they keep the kids' attention better as well. Don't let the thought of a contemporary service scare you, there's no hands waving in the air here, like you'll find at large non-denominational churches. I'm a pretty conservative guy and find the services comfortable. Something else I noticed about the church as a newcomer, was that I didn't feel pressured to make offerings. This could be good or bad for the church, but as a newcomer, I liked not feeling the pressure. After having been a member for awhile, I have actually given more because I WANTED to, not because I felt the pressure to. Overall, if you're looking for a new welcoming church, or are coming back to church after having been away for a few years, this is the church for you.
